FARGO MARATHON WEEKEND 🏅
It was a beautiful weekend to run in the 20th Anniversary of the .marathon for the Go Far Challenge; completing two races in one weekend!
My husband and I ran the 5K + 10K races with a few new PRs under our belts. Running is such a mental and physical process while improving your mental health every step of the way! The kids ran the .75 mile race and did an amazing job staying strong and keeping their spirits high 👏🏻
Race events are always fun to participate in because it’s so many people in our community coming together for the same goal — the finish line 🏁
Congratulations, runners! 🏃🏼♀️

I was born to make a difference ✨
When I was younger I started clubs for jump roping, organized events after school and was on every leadership committee possible; student council, 5th grade mentors, 8th grade student assistant, UND Student Senate, etc.
I wanted to be in a position where my voice was heard and valued. Little did I know I didn’t have to join student council or be elected to our college student government to make a difference. I just needed to speak to the right people.
The right people listen without a single urge to speak over you.
The right people hear you, support you and love you even in your broken stages.
The right people come alongside, wrap you in their arms and walk with you as long as you need them to.
Who are the right people in your life? How are you right for them?
Remember, it’s never to late to start making a difference and always remember to raise your voice 💓

Memorial Day Weekend was one full of family adventures, rest and the most beautiful blue lake we’ve ever seen! Mooreton Pond Recreational Area was a detour on our way home from the zoo and we were so glad we stopped!
We got sunshine, fresh air and so much sand to play in; all while enjoying the crystal clear water. North Dakota is always surprisingly beautiful just when you need it most 🤍🍃💧

CRISIS SAFETY PLAN 🚨
Thanks to the you can document your triggers, coping strategies, safe people and ways to support you all in one place for your family and friends to have access to.
Pictured here is my own Crisis Plan stating that if I shut down, get quiet or isolate myself I might be struggling. It’s also a list of people like my husband and best friends and their phone numbers so if someone around me is unsure what to do they can call one of my designated safe people. It also lists my coping strategies like workouts or journaling.
Prevention is possible if we communicate and start to understand each other with empathy and open hearts versus judgement and anger.
Need a crisis plan for you or someone you know? Comment the word ‘Hope’ and I’ll message you right away!

JDRF One Walk Fargo 🩵
Our family had the honor of attending the juvenile diabetes awareness walk today to bring the signs, symptoms and treatment of diabetes to the forefront of the conversation!
Thank you .johnson for your advocacy work in our state and nation! Danelle’s daughter, Danica, is a type 1 diabetic and has done advocacy work alongside her mom for years! While I don’t know what it’s like to live with diabetes, I’m able to shed light on the importance of working towards a cure and the mental toll it takes on the diabetic and their families.
Jason was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in October 2014, and we’re always grateful for the technology advancements made in this field and the research being done continuously to reach a cure!

I’m so honored to volunteer with this organization because my life’s path would’ve been changed for the better if I would’ve had as a young girl! I’ve served four seasons as Site Director, one season as a mentor and this Fall will be my second season as a Marketing Lead — so if you want to know more, please ask! We can’t change these young girls lives without selfless volunteers alongside me!
This confidence building, self esteem increasing, amazingly successful program is one that continues to change my perspective as an adult woman; I can see why 7/10 girls leave this program with increased self esteem.
Our site celebrates with a 5k which we train for together for 12 weeks — physical wellness + mental wellness combined! Thank you BIO Girls for being the best thing I could ask for to assist my daughter, myself and so many others in our community in loving ourselves a little more! Can you join us this year for our celebration run? It’s May 15th and you can sign up here 🔗 https://www.biogirls.org/findyourkind5k

Not only was it amazing to have these women take a class I was honored to teach, but we turned it into a fundraising R⚡️DE raising enough money to send one BIO Girl through the program on a full scholarship! I love that we got to collectively give back to an organization that encourages young girls to love themselves while being active!
My love for cycling began with a need to find who I was and embrace the power I had — this class was a reminder of just that! Thank you so much ladies for hating me and loving me at the same time while we got sweaty together 🖤

thank you, thank you, thank you Heritage Middle School in Horace, ND for having me in your classrooms!
I was honored to talk about the triad of health — social, emotional, physical — and why they all are needed to live the most fulfilling life!
Social — how are your relationships? Friendships? Family? Teammates?
Physical — exercise, sleep, nutrition; how are you doing?
Emotional + Mental — self care, prayer, counseling, boundaries, safe family members, trusted adults — how are you arming yourself to keep you safe?

Happy National Pageant Day ✨
In my thirty three years of life, I’ve spent none of them dreaming about being a pageant winner or even a contender in a pageant. I viewed the pageant life as different than it is; more complicated and competitive than cohesive and supportive.
I’m so honored to have entered the system for my very first pageant experience because not only are we all aligned in the mission to make a difference, we’re incredibly supported by the pageant community, recognized for our efforts in each state and region we represent and celebrate the success of married women in our world 🌍
To the one who has never considered pageantry, I urge you to dig deep inside yourself and find your voice, the message you want to convey and then spread your wings while joining this amazing community that is the International Pageant System!

Holidays can be hard for those who live with anxiety and depression and these five tips have been a game changer for my anxiety over holidays:
1. Communicate openly: Discuss your feelings with trusted family members or friends. Expressing your concerns can alleviate some of the emotional burden and create a supportive environment.
2. Set boundaries: Establish boundaries to protect your mental health during family gatherings. This could include limiting the duration of your visit, excusing yourself from triggering conversations, or politely declining certain activities.
3. Practice self-care: Prioritize self-care activities such as exercise, meditation, or hobbies that help you relax and recharge. Taking time for yourself can reduce stress and improve your overall well-being during the holidays.
4. Manage expectations: Accept that not every family gathering will be perfect and that disagreements may arise. Adjust your expectations and focus on enjoying moments of connection and joy rather than striving for perfection.
5. Seek professional support: If holiday family anxiety and depression symptoms persist or worsen, consider seeking support from a mental health professional. Therapy or counseling can provide coping strategies and tools to navigate challenging family dynamics effectively.
