Our LAST Tour event of 2024 will be a 9 Hole Event at Prairiewood Golf Course with TEE TIMES for all divisions starting at 8am on TUESDAY, July 23rd. This event will not count points BUT Prizes will be for Places 1st - 5th and players will get a tee gift for playing! Registration closes by Friday, July 18th - so register today!!

I'm optimistic that the weather cooperates with us tomorrow! The storm chances have diminished for our morning time frame. Our event is still as planned at MCC!! Please be prepared, that if a light rain does move in, we would continue play. Fingers crossed that we will have a dry event!! See you tomorrow on the tour!

Pairings are ready for our Event #4 at Moorhead Country Club! We are so lucky to play such an awesome area course- that just hosted the prestigious Red River Amateur just last weekend! Let’s talk about rules for a bit ⛳️☺️ As a developmental golf tour in the FM area, we take pride in providing juniors learning opportunities in golf competition. To the best of our abilities- we follow the USGA Rules of Golf.
In the scoring area we always check for 2 signatures.
Why do we make our juniors sign each others’ scorecards?
1. We follow USGA Rule 3-3
2. We try to teach them that they are responsible for having each HOLE correct on their Official Scorecard.
**This is a KEY to scoring a golf competition **
3. We encourage them to A. Keep their own score so they can verify the scores on their OFFICIAL FMJGT scorecard. B. To write clearly C. Sign that you Agree the scores are correct.
3. Our committee will confirm the total addition of the numbers - example, no junior is penalized for wrong addition.

Please share this information with your junior golfer- we believe many of our juniors aren’t familiar with 1. Why they sign 2. What for and 3. How important it is!

The FMJGT will kick off the 2024 Tour this MONDAY, June 10th at Maple River Golf Club. 70+ Juniors will be competing in our first event! Boys 15+, Boys 13-14 and Girls 18 Hole Divisions will start with a 7:30 Shotgun. Please register at 7am so we know you are attending and get your scorecard. Boys and Girls 11-12 Division will play 9 Holes with tee times starting at 8am. They should register at 7:30am and will have a player meeting before starting tee times.
