Happy Wednesday!
On Monday the Fargo NAMI team met with some amazing individuals from South Dakota and the National level. We had such a great time discussing the next steps for NAMI not only in Fargo but all of North Dakota!
The day ended with a wonderful Connection Recovery support group meeting. Thank you to everyone that came and participated!
Our next support group will be Monday, August 28th! We hope to see you there!

Welcome to NAMI Fargo, North Dakota!
Mental illness is a medical illness that affects over 58 million Americans or one in every four people each year. Mental illness is a medical condition that disrupts a person's thinking, feelings, mood, ability to relate to others, and daily functioning, often resulting in a diminished capacity for coping with the ordinary demands of life.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) recognizes that the key concepts of recovery, resiliency, and support are essential to improving the wellness and quality of life of all persons affected by mental illness. Members of NAMI are families, friends, and people living with mental illnesses such as major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), borderline personality disorder, and many more.
The good news about mental illness is that RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE!
NAMI Fargo offers free family support groups and recovery support groups for individuals who are ready to take the step. Follow our page for support group dates and more information on our mission!
