NDSU ROTC Cadets attended a Combined Leadership Development Exercise with other schools from North Dakota and South Dakota over the weekend at Camp Rapid in Rapid City, South Dakota. They conducted ambush, react to contact, and key leader engagement lanes to prepare them for their future summer training.

100th Anniversary Celebration 04/16/2016

NDSU Army ROTC celebrated 100 years on campus today. This morning Cadets were joined by Cadets of West Fargo High School JROTC on a 5K run through campus. The celebration finished up this afternoon with an unveiling of a monument in front of the Bentson/Bunker Fieldhouse.

On 1Sep2015 Cadets Ryan Doblar, Mitch Rosendahl, Cody Hanson, and Conrad Roberts had an opportunity to sit down and share a meal with: Lieutenant General Thomas P. Bostick-Commanding General and Chief of Engineers; Major General Michael C. Wehr-Commander for the Mississippi Valley Division; and Colonel Dan Koprowski-Commander and St. Paul District Engineer. Rosendahl described the conversation as very personable and enjoyed how every talked as if they were all equals. Hanson enjoyed learning how to better future training events. Doblar was able to gain valuable insight into career options with USACE, as well as the direction the Regiment is going.

The Bison Battalion hosted a “Welcome Back” picnic giving Cadets, friends, family, and any interested students the opportunity to celebrate a successful summer and learn more about what NDSU’s Army ROTC has to offer for this upcoming school year.

Neal Knezovich is a sophomore at NDSU and has been involved in the ROTC program since the start of his academic career. In the past 18 months Neal has dedicated himself to the program. His motivation, and determination to contract has inspired other cadets. His classmates designed and produced the shirts to spread his determination, and help other Cadets strive to be apart of the Bison Battalion.

In last weeks Leadership Lab Cadets developed their understanding of team building and the importance of it in the Army. With the use of innovative team building exercises, like the Traffic Jam and Minefield, Cadets improved their communication skills and developed younger Cadets by placing them in charge. Cadets discussed the benefits of having good team cohesion both in and out of the Army.
