1000 LIVE-STREAM Commissioning Ceremony!

1 year ago they were in the Fargo Marathon as cadets. Now they are Lieutenants and getting ready for a training exercise in Europe!

Congrats to William Howlett on enlisting into the North Dakota Army National Guard. Howlett is looking at contracting in the fall!!

NDSU ROTC Cadets attended a Combined Leadership Development Exercise with other schools from North Dakota and South Dakota over the weekend at Camp Rapid in Rapid City, South Dakota. They conducted ambush, react to contact, and key leader engagement lanes to prepare them for their future summer training.

NDSU Army ROTC celebrated 100 years on campus today. This morning Cadets were joined by Cadets of West Fargo High School JROTC on a 5K run through campus. The celebration finished up this afternoon with an unveiling of a monument in front of the Bentson/Bunker Fieldhouse.

CDT Rachel Petersen showing what NDSU ARMY ROTC is all about. She has taking it upon herself to do the right thing for her grandfather. Her grandfather was supposed to receive the bronze star 50 years ago and never did. That's when Rachel stepped in and made the difference.

On 1Sep2015 Cadets Ryan Doblar, Mitch Rosendahl, Cody Hanson, and Conrad Roberts had an opportunity to sit down and share a meal with: Lieutenant General Thomas P. Bostick-Commanding General and Chief of Engineers; Major General Michael C. Wehr-Commander for the Mississippi Valley Division; and Colonel Dan Koprowski-Commander and St. Paul District Engineer. Rosendahl described the conversation as very personable and enjoyed how every talked as if they were all equals. Hanson enjoyed learning how to better future training events. Doblar was able to gain valuable insight into career options with USACE, as well as the direction the Regiment is going.

Congratulations to the newest Cadets in the Bison Battalion! Hannah Olson and Cassandra Pollard are now Bison Strong!

The Bison Battalion hosted a “Welcome Back” picnic giving Cadets, friends, family, and any interested students the opportunity to celebrate a successful summer and learn more about what NDSU’s Army ROTC has to offer for this upcoming school year.

Registration is still available for the many leadership and development focused classes that NDSU’s Army ROTC has to offer.

The Bison Battalion started this morning with the first physical training session of the year. Students can register for the Army ROTC Physical Fitness class (MS-110) on campus connection.

A reminder for those that are interested in the ARMY, ROTC or wanting to learn some great life skills. Make sure you sign up for MS101 (Military Science) at NDSU.

The first semesters class topics include:

Introduction to the Army,
Critical Thinking
Time Management
Goal Setting and More!

Concordia and MSUM are also part of the ROTC Tri-College.

In last weeks Leadership Lab Cadets developed their understanding of team building and the importance of it in the Army. With the use of innovative team building exercises, like the Traffic Jam and Minefield, Cadets improved their communication skills and developed younger Cadets by placing them in charge. Cadets discussed the benefits of having good team cohesion both in and out of the Army.
