Sydney Roulhac is a Communication major and LPH member, serving as an intern in Senator John Boozman's office this summer.
Sydney received a scholarship from the Women's Congressional Scholarship Fund to support her internship. There were 16 total winners representing 14 different schools and 12 states!
Sydney will also serve as the Student Government Secretary for the 2024-2025 school year.

Lindsey S. Aloia, associate dean in the Graduate School and International Education and associate professor in the Department of Communication, and Anna Gentry, former master's student, received a Top Paper Award from the Interpersonal Communication Division during the Southern States Communication Association's Annual Convention.
Their paper, titled Seeking and Providing Social Support in Online Forums for Individuals Experiencing Depression, investigated how individuals suffering from depression and its associated stigma seek and provide support in online communities.
Aloia and Gentry Awarded Top Paper at Regional Conference Lindsey S. Aloia, associate professor of communication, and Anna Gentry, former master's student, received a Top Paper Award during the Southern States Communication Association's Annual Convention.

Rupert was recognized on 3/29/24 at the Afternoon Tea reception and given a plaque that reads, "The Multicultural Center Honors with Gratitude, Kwentaria Rupert, Whose leadership and advocacy advance equity and belonging for women professionals and scholars and strengthens our campus community."

🏆 Ringo Jones Accepts 2024 Peter C. Rollins & Susan W. Rollins Award for Best Documentary Film 👏
Jones received the award at the Popular Culture Association Conference for the documentary entitled, "Training for Freedom".
Ringo Jones served as the producer and sound designer for the project, which is still streaming on PBS.
