Yesterday the Ferguson Lions had the privilege to donate to a great organization called Strength and Honor.
Albert Harrold started this organization to make a difference in our young men and women. The mission is to save our youth from thoughtless habits by providing them positive models, opportunities, experiences and exposure that will provide them options in making rational decisions in life.
The organization offers mentoring, a summer camp, tutoring, robotics and much more for boys and girls.
The best statement was - if you have a job that is a passion.... then you never work a day in your life!
Thanks Albert for all you do for the youth of North County and it is our pleasure to donate to a great cause.

Our Congratulations to Lion Ginny Richardson for receiving the Edwin Dalstrom Award for all her service toward helping countless individuals with eye sight challenges in the Ferguson-Florissant area. We are truly honored to have such a wonderful member in our organization.
She has served in this capacity for many years and we are proud of her accomplishments. It was quite a memorable evening!

It is always great to learn about what your city has to offer. At our program meeting Scott Bonner an employee at the Ferguson Municipal Public Library gave a very interesting overview of all the services they have to offer.
They have wifi hotspots to check out, fishing poles if you want to drop a line in Wabash Lake, e-learning and have reciprocal sharing with many other libraries.
The Ferguson Lions Club will definitely become more involved with a great organization that benefits our local community. Thanks again Scott!
Remember - reading exercises the mind!
We had a very good program meeting last night - Featuring Katelyn Haniford of the Ferguson Parks & Recreation Department.
We are always amazed at some of the wonderful events they schedule for the Ferguson Community, whether young or old. Such as the Hooks and Ladders Fishing Derby, Summer Camp and the Halloween Spooktacular. Here at the Ferguson Lions we plan on assisting in various ways, physically and monetarily.
Thanks Katelyn for stopping by and presenting details of each event to make us more informed.
If you or someone you know is interested in giving back to the community, we always need new, energetic, giving and concerned community members. Feel free to reach out to us about our Organization and how you could be another great Ferguson Lion
Sometimes its about giving thanks to those in your community. Tragedy, pain and suffering can be difficult to manage. Therefore the Ferguson Lions Club wanted to be sure to show our appreciation for the Ferguson Fire Department. Our President Jonathan Kuhlmann, along with support from other members, prepared a nice barbecued dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the day with them.
THANKS to the Ferguson Fire Department again for every home and life you save!
Ferguson Fire Department
Another successful Ferguson Spooktacular. What a great time and opportunity to give back to the youth of the Ferguson Community. The rain did not deter the Trick or Treaters from showing up in large numbers. Thanks again www.fergrec.com for letting us participate.
The best joke of the night was - Why did the M&Ms go to school... Because they wanted to be Smarties.
And remember if you want to join the Ferguson Lions and participate in fun events let us know.
Wednesday, Oct 25th, we will be hosting a special meeting at the Ferguson Lions Club. If you are interested in understanding what we do as a charitable organization in Ferguson, please stop by around 6:00 pm for a short presentation on the history of Ferguson Lions.
