Mundy Township, Torrey Road Widening Project - GCRC will be starting the Torrey Road widening project, between Hill Road and Torrey Lane, on Thursday, August 8. The work is weather permitting and will include occasional traffic control, with two-way traffic being maintained. Motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.
Weather Permitting - the Genesee County Road Commission will begin its county wide chip seal operation starting on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Operations will begin each day at 7:00 am until 6:00 pm. The roads will be closed to thru traffic and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and leave additional time to reach their destinations.

Ditching on Duffield Road in Gaines Twp - The Genesee County Road Commission will be ditching on Duffield Rd between Baldwin Rd and Park St (Village of Gaines) on Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8. The road will be closed to thru traffic. Motorists are advised to leave extra time to reach their destination
GCRC will be ditching Wiggins Rd at Barnum Lake Rd in Fenton Township on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10 from 6:00 am to 4:30pm. The work is weather permitting and the road will be closed to thru traffic. Motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination.
Due to the weather forecast today (8-5-24) and Tuesday, (8-6-24) the chip seal operations that were starting today, will be postponed until Wednesday, 8-7-24.
The Genesee County Road Commission will be ditching Lewis Road between Frances Road and Dort Highway in Genesee Township (weather permitting) from Monday, August 5 to Thursday, August 8 from 8:00 am. to 3:30 pm. each day. The road will be closed to thru traffic with traffic control in place. Motorists are advised to allow additional time to reach their destination.
Reminder that the GCRC county wide chip seal operation starts on Monday, August 5 from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm in Atlas and Davison townships:

GCRC will be applying PermaZyme on O’Dell Rd between Linden Rd and Lahring Rd on Saturday, August 3 from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm in Fenton Township. The work is weather permitting and the road will be closed to thru traffic. Motorists should allow additional time to reach their destinations.
The Genesee County Road Commission will be performing a limestone resurfacing operation on Hogan Road, between Ray Road and Smith Road on Thursday, August 1 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Fenton Township. This is weather permitting and the road will be closed to thru traffic. Motorists should allow additional time
to reach their destination.

The Genesee County Road Commission will be replacing a failed cross tube on Baldwin Road in Gaines Township between Duffield Road and Sheridan Road on Wednesday, July 31 from 12 pm. to 4:00 pm. The road will be closed to all traffic and motorists are advised to find an alternate route to reach their destination.
GCRC will be performing a paving operation on Baldwin Road between Gale Road and Irish Road in Atlas Township on Thursday, August 1 beginning at 7:00 am until 4:30 pm. weather permitting. The road will be closed to thru traffic and motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination.
GCRC will be performing a milling operation on Baldwin Road between Gale Road and Irish Road in Atlas Township on Wednesday, July 31 beginning at 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. The road
will be closed to thru traffic and motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination.
The Genesee County Road Commission will begin its Cook Rd. rehabilitation project (from Holly Rd. to Embury Rd.) in Grand Blanc Township on Thursday August 1. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September. The road will be open to eastbound traffic only. The detour will take westbound drivers from Holly Rd. to Baldwin Rd. to Dort Hwy. Drivers are asked to proceed with caution and leave additional time to reach their destination.
GCRC will be performing shoulder work on Miller Road between Seymour Road and Van Vleet Road on Tuesday, July 30 from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm in Clayton Township. The work is weather permitting and the road will be closed to thru traffic. Motorists should use an alternate route and allow additional time to reach their destination
GCRC will continue its shoulder work on Silver Lake Road between Bird Road and Duffield Road in Argentine Township on Saturday, July 27 starting at 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. The work is weather permitting and will include traffic control, with two-way traffic being maintained. Motorists should expect delays and allow additional time to reach their destination.

Catch Basin Repair on west side of Irish Road, between Coldwater Road and Teachout Road, Richfield Twp.
The Genesee County Road Commission will be repairing a failed catch basin on the west side of Irish Road between Coldwater Road and Teachout Road in Richfield Township on Thursday, July 25 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The road will be closed to thru traffic. North bound traffic will be redirected to use Coldwater Road and south bound traffic will be allowed through the construction project where one lane of traffic will be maintained. The work is weather permitting.
The start of the Cook Rd. project is temporarily delayed due to changes with traffic control. An updated start date will be provided shortly.
Crews will be ditching on Pierson Rd. between Vassar Rd. and
Independence Dr. through Tuesday, July 30. Work will take place each day from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The road will be closed to thru traffic.
MDOT will be closing the northbound lane on the Morrish Road bridge over I-69 in Genesee County for maintenance through Monday, August 12. There will be flaggers controlling traffic.
THETFORD TWP: GCRC will be ditching on Wilson Rd. between Bray Rd. and Center Rd. on Tuesday, July 23 and Wednesday, July 24 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The road will be closed to thru traffic.

Baldwin Rd., between Saginaw Rd. and Gale Rd., will be closed for paving from Tuesday, July 23 through Friday, July 26. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
GCRC will be milling Baldwin Rd. between Saginaw Rd. and Gale Rd. today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The road will be closed to thru traffic.
