What does having a "Pilates Body" mean to you?
"I underwent a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction for DCIS removing both of my breasts, leaving me with limited range of motion and feeling scared, incapable, and feeling less than woman. Post treatment, I was learning how to put my clothes back on (especially my bra!), how to reach up for things in the kitchen cabinet, and how to wash my hair again to say the least.
I found Pilates at the right time with the encouragement of my mother and husband, Brian, and the determination and will to get my life back. I worked hard to find my range of motion, and I learned to love myself for the first time. was the medicine that I needed to get my life back, my self-esteem recharged, and to reclaim my body back for good!
After 6 months, I got my wings back! I was finally renewed and restored, I was woman again with the embrace of my new beautiful story-telling scars. I knew this was my calling to help others so I left my world of interior design and architecture to become a certified . It has become and will always be a passion to help others succeed in finding themselves again after through the art of Pilates. I wake up every morning with gratitude, love, compassion and dedication to helping others find their wings through sharing my story."

On this Transformation Tuesday, I wanted to not only CELEBRATE Sue Decker hitting her 500th class, but also share a little bit of Sue's testimony. She shared with us that Pilates is the only workout she's really loved, that she not only adores the people, but also the staff and instructors! She also mentioned, that she loved that she could choose classes that allowed her to push herself and/or classes that gave her a chance to recover and stretch. Her words exactly were, "The instructors are incredibly knowledgable and passionate about their craft and share their energy so willingly. I am so happy I made the investment in myself with a Club Pilates membership. It was the best way to get ready for turning 60! I feel stronger and healthier than ever!"
