He who fears the Lord is blessed with all protection and security, strength and refuge for his children too. The fear of the LORD is a source of life, and is able to save us from the snares of death. Proverbs, 14:26-27.
The Word of God makes it very clear that the Lord blesses all who fear him and walk in his ways. The achievements extend to their descendants up to a thousand generations. All kinds of spiritual victories are upon those who have united themselves with Christ Jesus.

Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18.

The children of God are people who know how to give thanks for everything, because they know that the LORD will always supply their needs when they trust and give thanks. Being a just and loving father, the LORD knows our every need.
We are not always granted our requests, but we know that his will is always far above our expectations, because it is good, perfect and pleasant.
Giving thanks is the least we can do, because no matter the circumstances, the LORD is always in control of everything.
He is GOD!

We are responsible for our attitudes, actions and decisions resulting from feelings or some thoughts that the LORD does not approve. Just like the psalmist, in our daily prayers, we need not only to seek the LORD's forgiveness but also to place ourselves before Him to examine our hearts, allowing the action of the Holy Spirit to show us where we need to change, fix our steps, walk in the light and in total dependence on Him.

Our boy earned his gray/white belt this weekend. He ran to his dad when his name was called, gave a little point to himself, and had the biggest smile on his face. This kid works hard on the mat. I love his smash, pass, and take the back. He just turned five. With all of those amazing black belts supporting him especially his dad, how could this boy not feel the love and support❤️

Fourteen years as a black belt this month, also known as a 4th degree. Eli’s friend and long time teammate was able to make the trip up and present him with a belt and certificate from his coach . Each one of his black belts said a little something about him, and it was truly heart felt. Eli shows up everyday, trains, motivates, and inspires. His character and moral fiber is without change. 10 years C H E C K M A T.

For the last 11 years, it has been my honor and privilege to serve as your district attorney here in El Dorado County. Perhaps the most challenging and yet significant responsibility of the district attorney is the recruitment, retention, training, and development of the men and women who serve the people of the state of California within El Dorado County. I am extraordinarily proud of the team we have developed over these last 11 years. The prosecutors, criminal investigators, non-sworn investigators, investigative assistants, victim advocates, paralegals, legal secretaries and other support staff are among the finest anywhere and in any office.

This professional and extremely well-qualified team works together in pursuit of justice, no matter the difficulty of the case. During my time as district attorney, in addition to bringing together an incredible group of dedicated public servants into one office, we also: developed one of the first paperless prosecutors’ offices in the state of California; created the Cold Case Homicide Task force and the Sierra Economic Crimes Task Force; instituted Project Lead – an innovative outreach program for 5th graders; organized the Snowball Christmas shopping event (with events over each of the past 8 years helping hundreds of at-risk children); used social media in groundbreaking new ways to help reduce crime, catch criminals and provide outreach and transparency to the community; and recently, moved the office into a state of the art facility and formed our Special Victims Unit to help investigate and prosecute crimes impacting the most vulnerable victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, elder abuse, and human trafficking.

Further, we have consistently sought out ways to do more with less, to seek out grants to help reduce county costs and to consolidate positions and reduce waste wherever and whenever possible. As a fiscal conservative, I have worked tirelessly to efficiently use taxpayer money to help hold criminals accountable for their crimes and to seek out justice for victims.

In addition to providing leadership and innovation, I continue to prosecute cases, including the prosecution of the Garridos for the kidnapping of Jaycee Dugard and seeking the death penalty for the murder of CHP Officer Scott Russell.

The reputation of this office, and of the men and women who work for this office, is unparalleled and the citizens of El Dorado County deserve nothing less. If anyone tries to tell you this isn’t one of the finest district attorney offices in the country, they are either misinformed or dishonest.

Your support will ensure our continued effective prosecution of criminals and our never-ending fight to provide justice to victims of crime.
