Replace home washed away by floods in Kenya During the recent floods in Kenya, the family of one of our staff members at Sundi's Gift academy lost their home. Dozens dead as floods wreak havoc across Kenya Days of torrential rain have triggered widespread flooding across parts of Kenya, turning roads into raging rivers and claiming dozens of lives.

After roughly a decade of prayers, waiting, and frankly doubting- public electrical infrastructure is now literally at the edge of the "new" property- an hour outside of Nairobi. We hope and pray the land will one day soon hold a fish farm and provide a sustainable food source and additional income for the critical work of our friends in Soweto. Bwana Asifiwe!

Join us for our annual charity event!

We are so excited for our 15th "Swing for Kids" golf classic on September 23, 2023. As you know this is the time of the year for our primary fund raising. It is through this tournament and generous donors like you that keep our charity going in Kenya for the children who wouldn't get an education otherwise. We are so grateful for your general support in the past and hope you will be able to contribute again this year.

During the last few years we focused on establishing a new school in Bungoma, western Kenya, based on urgent needs. This has include digging a well and fish ponds, buying additional land an building classrooms. We pay for salaries of the staff, food for teachers and children, school supplies and equipment, school uniforms and shoes to name a few.

Every year we make enough money from the fundraising and outside donations to cover our on going costs at the two schools we support.

Your contributions will help us move ahead on the 2 1/2 acres for the planned fish farm to bring power into the property, We dug a well there several years ago but we cant pump up the water from the well without electricity or other form of power. Our people on the ground along with us are looking into several options to provide the power. Eventually, we will put in the fish ponds and processing plant that you have heard Everett talk about. The prospect of having ongoing fish, fruits, vegetables and available water for the children in Soweto is very exciting.

This is God's ministry so we know that He will provide what we need for the future. God bless you for your continuing support and making this much needed work in Kenya possible.

We are proud to carry on Sundi's Gift, Inc. charity in honor of the late Everett Smith, who poured his heart and soul into this charity. Vision Link Academy celebrates its 3rd place finish in the soccer (football) tourney, qualifying for the next round. Work hard, play hard! Congratulations!

Our beloved founder, Harry Everett Smith, was welcomed into Jesus' arms on January 26. We are proud of "Babu" and grateful for his life and legacy. God has used him to make an influence that will echo through generations and into eternity.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb 4 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, with his Celebration of Life at 10:30am on Saturday, 2/5. The Bel Air Church (2430 Conowingo Rd, Bel Air, MD) will host both.

In lieu of flowers, we'll honor Babu's legacy by continuing this critical work in Kenya. Donations can be made at sundisgift.org/ev.
