Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸 On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted, marking the birth of the United States and our freedom. It’s a time to honor the bravery of those who fought for our independence and to celebrate with family, friends, fireworks, and BBQs. Remember to stay safe, be responsible, and enjoy all the festivities. Have a fantastic and fun-filled weekend! 🎆🍔🎉

Did someone say "Bear Down" Fort Bliss?
The 1AD DIVARTY Team had the opportunity to host cadets from the University of Arizona Army ROTC. Cadets experienced the capabilities of the Artillery Branch by visiting the gunline to see and fire a Paladin. Then they went to the observation post to talk to our Fire Support Team to understand how to call for fire and see rounds impact up close! This experience afforded them the opportunity to see what the "King of Battle" can bring to the fight! The cadets then had the opportunity to sit down and ask questions of our DIVARTY Staff. Good luck in your future and we hope to hear that FA now is your number one!
Special thank you to 2-3 Field Artillery - Gunners for allowing the cadets the opportunity to visit! Iron Steel!

our own CW4 Cameron recently received the Edmund L. Gruber award!
The award was named after Brig. Gen. Edmund L. Gruber, who as a first lieutenant, composed the 1908 “Caisson Song.” This song was later adapted to the “Army Song” we know today. The Gruber Award is an annual honor that is given to exceptional field artillery professionals who made significant contributions to the general field artillery’s warfighting capabilities.
Congratulations CW4 Cameron, very well deserved! Iron Steel
