This week DES Physical Security Division welcomes two new Department of the Army Security Guards to the Team! Welcome Yohaini Batista Fernandez and Elieser Perez Hermogenez!!

April is SHARP recognition month and we at DES strive to set the example for preventing sexual assault and harassment and promoting awareness and prevention. The Physical Security and Access Control Division took the time to take pictures with our signed proclamation while wearing the “I’m In!!” T-shirts to help promote awareness and lead by example—showing that we are ALL IN for preventing sexual assault and treating all individuals with dignity and respect.

LTC Howell presented SOG Barnett and DASG Faulk with coins in recognition for their hard work and dedication to the Fort Drum community when they were requested to assist in the evacuation of family members living in community housing on post due to a dangerous gas leak. Thank you for all you do!

Today, two of the Directorate of Emergency Services, Department of the Army Security Guards, were presented with the Civilian Service Achievement Medal for their quick actions assisting a young child in severe medical distress on 11 November 2022 at the Visitor Control Center. DASG Nico Grossmann and DASG Eric Preston were presented the award and pinned by Deputy Garrison Commander Eric Wagenaar. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the Soldiers, Civilians, and family members of Fort Drum.

The Directorate of Emergency Services Fire and Emergency Services Division presented Kenneth Batton with the FES Employee of the Month award for November 2022 for his outstanding service and dedication to the Fort Drum community. Thank you for all you do Firefighter Batton!!
