Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

This morning Charlie Company Soldiers participated in the Commanders Cup, which was the final competition of “Mountain Fest” week. The cup included: litter carry with rescue Randy, land navigation, 350m mass casualty evacuation, 100ft rappel, UXO report, rope and wall climb, and 100 pull-ups all completed during a 6.5 mile ruck with 35 lb rucksack, 3 litters, and 3 radios. 🥵 After completion of the ruck challenge the event ended with a pugil battle. Great effort by everyone involved! 💪

Congratulations to the winners of the Black Knight Golf Tournament! Thank you to the Soldiers, Families, and friends that came out to support the company, you made it a fun day! We just may have to do it again 🤔

Always great opportunities you’d never expect out there for our 88M’s!

Please join us in congratulating SGT Salgado and SPC Gocan who both made the decision to continue serving in the Army this week! Both Soldiers re-enlisted and were able to select their next duty location. 🇺🇸💪🏔️

Charlie Company has kept busy the last two weeks. We graduated several Soldiers from the Alpine Operations Course (AOC). Three outstanding Soldiers were recognized by the garrison command team for their efforts supporting the Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) program. We also conducted training on counter UAV, counter IED, cold weather systems, land navigation, and maintenance support devices (MSDs). We ended the week with the Muleskinner Games where our teams competed against our sister battalion in the 9° weather and finally with a wing cook off at the company! Ride to Glory! 🏔️💪🇺🇸

Today SGT Smith received the Army Achievement Medal (AAM) and a customized trophy after winning the Sustainer of the Quarter competition last week. 💪🏔️

Charlie Company promoted PV2 Archer and Carlucci to PFC, PFC Vega and Zamora to SPC, CPL Javier and Peterson to SGT, and presented our 6 newest NCO’s with the NCO Charge on Friday. We are proud of all their hard work and dedication to this team. Ride to Glory!

10th MTN DIV conducted its annual D-Series competition and Charlie Company Black Knights flawlessly executed convoy operations in an alpine environment, transporting 300 Soldiers morning, day, and night in sub zero temperatures and during a blizzard. This week’s training and support further cemented our role in “moving the mountain”. 🥶💪🏔️

On Friday Charlie Company had the privilege to promote Second Lieutenant Puerto to First Lieutenant. 1LT Puerto has been an outstanding example to his Soldiers over the past year and a great asset to C Co. His promotion is well deserved. Ride to Glory!
