FREE Event for all Mountain Guardians--Children of all ages can participate. **Email Sign-up Form by 9 Sep to SSG Mason @ [email protected]** Events start at 5pm in the McGrath Fields. In addition to the Wiffle Ball Tournament- inflatable games will be available. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Saturday, September 24th – The Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 14th Annual Cape Vincent Oktoberfest from noon until 5 pm. An Autumn Farmers and Crafters Market will compliment a Beer Garden, featuring samples of authentic German beer and tastings from several New York State wineries. The popular Bavarian Band from Syracuse, NY will be performing German songs and dancing. There will be a beer stein race with cash prizes. Food for the day will feature a wide variety of traditional Bavarian fares: including pretzels, bratwurst, sauerkraut, braised red cabbage, German potato salad, apple strudel and Hoffman hot dogs sold by the Cape Vincent Fire Department on the Village Green

There will also be door prizes and a live auction.

Today, Ms. Brittany Kiely was recognized with the highly prestigious Order of the Vivandieres for her "significant contributions to the morale, welfare, and spirit of Soldiers and family members" of the Mountain Guardian Family. Not only was she a primary driving force for HHD's fundraisers and social events; she selflessly supported BN-sponsored social events and provided support to fellow companies throughout their deployments. Brittany--your sacrifice and support is greatly appreciated!!
The Order of the Vivandieres has been around for nearly 17 years and only 533 have been presented to Spouses throughout the Regiment.

Mountain Guardians!!

A volunteer opportunity for those who are interested OR you can run in the annual 5K/10K at Cape Vincent. They are looking for 10-15 individuals (Soldiers and/or families) to help out the morning of the run. Specific duties will be assigned that day, but all volunteers will be asked for their preferences prior to being assigned. Additionally, they will receive free swag and refreshments at the CV Brewery following the run.

All families, friends, and kiddos are welcomed to come and join-in for some games, food, and of course--climb in an MP patrol car and see some military working dogs. There will be a military work dog demonstration at 10 am.
