Jamar is an extraordinary graduate from Coral Gables Senior High School, where he has exemplified academic excellence and a passion for Breakthroughs.
As a student, Jamar embraced a rigorous academic curriculum of AP courses such as English Language, European History, and Human Geography. Beyond the classroom, Jamar has been involved in various extracurricular activities. From his role as President of the Gables Players and Troupe 0476 to his contributions as a choreographer for the Black History Show, and member of The Gablettes Dance Team, Gender-Sexuality Alliance, and Media Clubs, Jamar has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and artistic talent.
Jamar's dedication to community service shines brightly through his service at Breakthrough Miami, where he served as a Lead Teaching Fellow & Teaching Assistant, empowering young minds. Jamar also served as a VPA representative for the CGHS Open House, and as a volunteer for the Youth Advisory Council.
Jamar's stellar achievements are evidenced by his selection as a The Posse Foundation Scholar, a Silver Knight Nominee, and as a recipient of scholarships such as the Coral Gables Community Foundation Scholarship, Burger King Scholarship, UNCF South FloridaF Scholarship, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Scholarship.
With his boundless talent, Jamar is set for an exciting new chapter at Syracuse University as a First-Generation student, where he will pursue his passion for advertising. His dream to become a Creative Director for renowned brands like Nike, adidas, Disney, or Universal Pictures are not merely dreams but attainable goals fueled by his remarkable drive and ambition.
