We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2020 Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting Fellowship! This fellowship gives students the opportunity to pursue reporting projects of global importance that have been underreported in the mainstream American media.
Our TCU fellows traveled to South Africa to report on the cultural and economic impacts of the rhinoceros poaching crisis in 2017, and in 2018 to explore the conservation efforts during the height of the water crisis. Last summer, our fellow traveled to Colombia to report on the issues surrounding citizenship for children born to Venezuelan refugee families.
Fellows receive travel stipends, help with pre-reporting research, local contacts and resources, a professional journalist to mentor them and the opportunity to publish their work. They will also travel to Washington, D.C. for the student fellow weekend to present their project, meet other fellows and network with professional journalists.
Applications are open to all Journalism and News & Media Studies majors and minors (including graduating seniors). Interested? Find more info on our website! The deadline to apply is February 21!
