Established at TCU in 1967, the Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society has a long relationship with the AIDS Outreach Center of Tarrant County, and has been hosting benefit concerts on behalf of the organization since 1993! Once again, the seniors in the Pilates Teacher Training Program took the “Teaser Challenge” over the summer. Scroll to the end for a surprise share from Susie who spent time at in Minneapolis with . The TCU PTTP Pilates alumni network, as well as our area relationships, are rich and where possible, our students are able to work in the field before graduation under expert guidance of seasoned Pilates professionals.

SCCDance Professors Keith and Kellye Saunders taught for the New Orleans Ballet Association's (NOBA) Summer Intensive. Alum, Beth Kendrick (BFA Ballet & Modern Dance ’23), was invited as a guest performer for the culminating showcase! Also pictured are Millette White-Lin (NOBA Education Director), Jenny Hamilton (NOBA Executive Director), and Rodney Hamilton (Associate School Director at Ballet Hispanico, who also taught on the intensive.

Will Labossiere, Instructional Staff Musician in the SCCDance, is guest teaching at Csehy Summer School of Music in Philadelphia. He is working with pre-professional high-school musicians, coaching orchestra and percussion ensemble, teaching lessons in classical percussion, and sharing some techniques for dance accompaniment.
SCCDance faculty and staff are active professionals in the field and always bring their experiences back into the studio and classroom. Heather McCreless, SCCDance Costume Studio Supervisor and resident Costume Designer, worked on Broadway's Touring Production of Hamilton at Bass Performance Hall in June as a Dresser for Local 803 I.A.T.S.E.! "I saw some great costume construction innovations to incorporate into costumes at TCU”
The SCCDance hosts Texas Ballet Theater School’s Summer Intensive each year. This summer, SCCDance faculty member, Chad R. Jung, worked with TBT to offer a Student Q&A with Artistic Director Laureate, Ben Stevenson, O.B.E. He shared stories from his extraordinary career and advice and inspiration for all the students. Congratulations are in order for alumnus, Anthony Wade, BFA Ballet and Modern Dance '22! After completing his MFA at University of Roehampton London, Anthony is the latest faculty addition for the FWAFA Dance Department.

Cohort 2026 gets on board with their first Pilates Teacher Training Intensive: 80 hours over 12 days’ time. They are flying!
SCCDance faculty member and President of CORPS de Ballet International Dr. Jessica Zeller will host the 26th Annual CORPS de Ballet International conference: “Ballet Pedagogies: Past, Present, and Future,” June 11-13, 2024.
In addition to a range of research presentations on ballet pedagogies over the three-day conference, featured events include conversations with Alicia Graf Mack, Dean and Director of Dance at the Juilliard School; Peter Boal, Artistic Director of Pacific Northwest Ballet; and Blossom Leilani Crawford on the legacy of Pilates pioneer Kathy Grant. Alumni Highlight!
Beth Kendrick, BFA Ballet and Modern Dance '23, soon will be starting her second season with Contemporary West Dance Theatre! Earlier this year CWDT came to Texas and performed at the Eisemann Center. In July, Beth will perform in CWDT's Dance in the Desert and will be working with guest choreographers for the upcoming fall concerts.
