2024 is a busy year for SceneShop.
In August, we presented "Not That Simple," featuring tales of unforeseen complication. This week, we are proud to again be part of the Fort Worth Fringe Festival, with our entry 'Trio (like the song says)". The program features three monologues inspired by popular songs.
The last weekend in October, we will offer a revival of our well-received prequel to Bram Stoker's Dracula, titled "Renfield."
And the first Saturday in December, we will be back with another edition of "A Fifth of Christmas," our snarky holiday show for grown-ups.
Thursday, September 19th is this year's North Texas Giving Day. Please consider remembering SceneShop among your donations.
SceneShop is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization.

SceneShop is proud to announce that we will be a part of this year's Fort Worth Fringe festival, coming in September. (This is our sixth time to be a part of the fest!)
This year's production is titled "Trio (like the song says)," and will feature three monologues, each one inspired by a song. Rob Bosquez' "Magic?" draws from Olivia Newton -John's popular "Magic" from 1980. Straton Rushing listened to Pink Floyd's "Time" while crafting his script "And You Run." Steven Alan McGaw takes a line from David Bowie's "Heroes" for his work, "Just For One Day."
This year's Fringe Festival happens September 6-9 at the Community Arts Center. For acts, schedule and ticket information, please visit www.texastheatres.org
Tonight, we have the first read-thru for "Judge Margie." This piece will comprise the second act of this summer's showcase, "Not That Simple." Peggy Bott Kirby heads the cast as Judge Margaret Vest Hawthorne, a no-nonsense TV jurist who loves the law and hates foolishness. Debbie Dacus, Steven Cashion, Kristi Ramos Toler, and Steven McGaw round out the ensemble.
