Attention all parents and caregivers!
It’s important to remember that lifeguards should never replace your active supervision in or around water. Even when lifeguards are present, always keep a watchful eye on your children. Lifeguards are trained professionals who play a critical role in maintaining pool safety. However, they have numerous responsibilities and may not be able to focus solely on your child at all times. So, whether you’re at a public pool, a water park, or even in your own backyard, prioritize constant, capable, and close supervision and have

Julia, our social work intern, led a wonderful workshop on refilling our cups after life's obligations empty them. We finished with a soothing meditation.
As temperatures rise, so does the risk of hot car tragedies. It’s a sobering
reminder that even the most routine of tasks can have devastating consequences.
It only takes minutes for a car to become dangerously hot, even on mild days.
Remember these crucial tips:
• Look before you lock: always check the backseat before leaving your vehicle
• Create reminders: place your purse, wallet, or phone in the backseat as a visual reminder that your child is on board
• Spread awareness: share this message to raise awareness and prevent hot car tragedies
Let’s work together to ensure that every child is safe and protected from the dangers of hot cars.
