The Heal for Real topic for May will be Aspergillus Mold Detox and Treatment!

The most problematic and commonly reported symptoms of Aspergillus infections vary based on the type of infection and the individual's immune status. However, some of the most notable symptoms include:

Respiratory symptoms:
- Cough (dry or productive)
- Shortness of breath (dyspnea)
- Wheezing
- Chest pain
- Hemoptysis (coughing up blood)

Allergic manifestations:
- Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA): Wheezing, cough, fever, and sometimes bronchiectasis (permanent dilation of the bronchi)
- Allergic fungal sinusitis: Nasal congestion, headache, and facial pain

Invasive Aspergillus (in immunocompromised individuals):
- Fever
- Chills
- Fatigue
- Chest pain
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Hemoptysis
- Skin lesions or nodules

Chronic pulmonary Aspergillus:
- Chronic productive cough
- Weight loss
- Fatigue
- Hemoptysis
- Chest pain

Disseminated Aspergillus (in severely immunocompromised individuals):
- Fever
- Chills
- Skin lesions or nodules
- Neurological symptoms (headache, seizures, focal neurological deficits)
- Abdominal pain
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea

If you or your patients exhibit these symptoms, it is possible you may have Aspergillus, and we invite you to learn more through our lesson.

What is IBS?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a condition which is marked by abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation.

Not fully understood, IBS is thought to come from a variety of sources, like an imbalanced gut biome or food sensitivity.

While we have talked about leaky gut before, IBS is different because it isn't indicated in gut or body inflammation.

IBS also differs from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis because it is less severe and won't damage the intestine.

However, IBS is shockingly common, with around a third of people estimated to suffer from the condition at some point in their lives.

It's also uncomfortable, and having IBS can cause people to develop an aversion to eating because it causes them pain even when they eat seemingly harmless foods.
