The overdose crisis around the world is sadly not improving and now is the time to act!

Who will you connect with to amplify your efforts for International Overdose Awareness Day 2024? Maybe you can host your event with another organisation or group, write a joint letter of advocacy to an elected offical, or encourage people in your community to get on board.

🌟 April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month 🌟

This month, we shine a light on the millions who experience limb loss and limb difference. Chronic pain can often be a companion on this journey. The members of this community exhibit incredible strength, resilience, determination, and perseverance.

One of them is George Woods, a profilee in our latest INvisible Project, which focuses on diabetes-related pain. Despite facing diabetes-related amputations of both legs below the knee, George proves limitations can't hold him back.

Teddy Bear donations needed! Drop off at the Frederick Health Development Office located at 405 W. 7th St., Frederick by April 24th.

Our Pediatric Unit is in need of 500 teddy bears for the upcoming Teddy Bear Clinic at the Annual Children’s Festival at Baker Park on April 27.

At the Teddy Bear Clinic, the donated teddy bears receive a ‘check-up’ and any ‘needed’ medical care. This helps reduce fears and anxiety children may have when they are patients themselves. And, as a bonus, the kids get to take home their healthy furry friend! Donations of new teddy bears will be accepted at the Frederick Health Development Office through April 24.

Seniors, join us for Free Wellness and Education Workshops! Take advantage of the Community Health Education Center’s free health screenings, community resources, guest speakers, and lunchtime presentations.

Seating is limited. Registration is required by calling the CHEC at 443-552-2432.
