Then met some random people who invited me in our own self guided, haunted tour of the hotel. Not gonna lie, I love creepy stuff but this hotel is creepy for sure. But I do love Austin 🖤

Spooky times. I am closing shop!

First, I want to thank you all so much for all of your support. Whether it’s been a month being my client or 7 years since I’ve been in the Dallas area... I appreciate all of you so much!
For quite some time, I’ve been thinking about moving out of Dallas, and now it’s becoming a reality. Beginning in November, I will be working at Honest Barber in Austin. I’m so excited for this new opportunity and experience! Some people don’t do well with change but I embrace it! I will miss y’all, and am seriously so grateful for your support for my business, and even my personal life. I have cherished our conversations behind the chair, hearing about your life, seeing your kids grow, or even getting to know you longer than you’ve known your girlfriend. It’s the best month of the year!

My birthday month! Even though as I get older I care less and less. As a kid, I’d hear adults say that and I didn’t understand. Now I do! I still enjoy a small celebration or a surprise dessert at a restaurant, because I have a major sweet tooth 🎂.
I’ll be out of town the 18th-23rd. Make sure to book a service! As a party favor for my birthday month, I’m bringing back a special on my mini facials! Only for $15 instead of $30. I enjoy doing them and you deserve to be treated.

Exciting News!

Lately I have been looking for another source of income as most of you know. I’ve mentioned schedule changes with other jobs. Those jobs haven’t worked out but it was meant to be.

I was offered an amazing opportunity this weekend to be a Barber Educator at my barber school, Blade Craft Barber Academy.
I am always looking to grow and to be challenged, and this will be the perfect chance to do so. I really love to learn, so this will be a learning experience for me.
I’m looking forward to also helping others!
Becoming an educator will benefit y’all as my clients as well. Even though I’ll be out of the shop 2 days a week, this could make me an even better Barber 💈 🖤

I will be at the school Tuesdays and Thursdays, shop will be open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

2 Year Anniversary

Another year has gone by and I’m still in business! My first year I was having panic attacks almost daily, thinking my business was going to fail. Some days I can’t believe I’m still here. I’m so grateful I am and it’s thanks to you guys. 🖤 March 28th is my 2 year anniversary owning Binx’s Barber Studio, and I hope it continues to grow!

So I have decided to add a new service for y’all. Mini facial! And for my anniversary in the month of April, I’d like to offer it at $10 (originally $30) So make sure to add it to your services when booking (need advance notice to get hot towels ready).

What’s included with your mini facial…. I’ll be using Baxter of California products
1. Face wash (obviously cleanses the face)
2. Face scrub-remove dry, rough patches and prevent ingrown hairs pre-shave.
3. Clay mask- Men's clay mask removes impurities and excess oil as it refines the skin's texture. Soothes and supplies hydration.
4. Hand/arm massage while face mask sits with anti-aging lotion
5. Toner-Antioxidants, herbal extracts and E protect skin against free radicals and cell damage

Schedule Update

New year new schedule. So, business has been good this last year and I want to say thank you so so much for your support. But, as we all know life has gotten expensive. I’ve been told to raise my prices by some of you, but I don’t want to…for now at least. A lot of us are struggling. I just appreciate you returning when you can for a haircut and recommending me to people you know.
I have thought about raising my prices, but I’m going to leave it to you. Tipping is an option, and I’m so grateful to even get a tip. Thank you!

Back to schedule change-I’m got a second job again to help with my finances. Unfortunately that messes with the schedule a bit but hopefully not too much.

Because I’m in physical contact with y’all please be aware of any systems you are having for Covid or Monkeypox. As you can get both from the gym, shopping carts, gas station pumps, touching others.
I do my best being as sanitized and safe as possible for y’all.
