Had a great day with the Beginner Band at Emerson High School for our band festival!!! The kids were great and gave an outstanding performance! Congratulations to the Oboes, Bassoons, Saxophones, Euphoniums, and Percussion on earning outstanding section awards!!! So proud of all the kids.

Pics from the Flight school performance!
We welcomed our 6th grade Nighthawks to Nelson today with a performance at the end of flight school. The band sounded amazing! I am so proud of these kids and it made me so happy to see all of them today performing.
To top it off we had some of our former Nelson band kids join us from the Independence Band! To see our kids playing side by side with the Independence band kids was really exciting!
A huge thank you to the IHS band kids for coming over and performing with us!

It was so nice to have band camp again this week for the first time in 2 years! Seeing the kids together socializing and making music was so exciting! The kids were fantastic and I am looking forward to our performance Monday for Flight School!

Extremely proud of our concert and symphonic band students today!!!! The kids rehearsed for the first time all together in person and recorded their fall concert. Parents we will be putting the videos and audio together and will send out Monday in the newsletter. Great job band!!!

Had a great time with the Wind Symphony yesterday! The kids met for the first time all together and we recorded our concert program. The music will be used for the virtual pep rally’s and we will be sending out a video presentation to our band families! The kids did an amazing job and this experience made me so happy!!! Here is a little sneak peek.
Had a lot of fun last night at the IHS football game seeing our former kids march at halftime! Congrats to the Independence Band on the outstanding performance last night!
