I had such a good time at The Psychotherapy Networker Symposium. I got to hangout with my favorite therapist from Charlotte NC. I met the amazing Nedra Glover Tawaab, and some other psychotherapy rockstars. 😎🤓🤩

I also enjoyed the National Museum of African American History and Culture. It is such a beautiful tribute to our complex history here in the U.S and a much appreciated reminder of how beautiful and resilient we are as a people and a culture. ❤️❤️❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed the energy of DC. Looking forward to heading back soon.

I love the start of a new year. It’s an opportunity to be reflective and intentional about my life.

I hope you are entering the new year the way you want your year to flow.

I have been uber intentional to do that this new year.

I was in the bed asleep by 9 pm. I slept in until 10 and have been relaxing much of the day.

I’ve been pretty reflective today….

I have been thinking about my goals for the new year. I reviewed last years goals and discovered some good wins and some opportunities to scale this year.

I was most proud of my commitment to my own healing in 2022. I did that!

So , now I am writing out my goals for 2023. I’m challenging myself this year. I think my word for the year will be SELF-DISCIPLINE…. Yikes.

In my many years on this planet….. I’ve not mastered it.
I now know why (thanks to some good therapy). I am up for the challenge because I now see how my lack of self-discipline has impacted me and has served as a huge barrier to fully living out my mission and purpose.

Here’s to a peaceful, love-filled, abundant 2023. I pray that you access all that is within you to face this new year and all that it brings.

MY SECRET PROJECT.

Hey Friends!

I am working on a new project. I’m looking for a specific type of person to be involved and you might be a fit (or know someone who is).

Mission of this project:

-I want to support 100 Black women in transforming their lives by helping them level-up their SELF-CARE practices.

- I want to provide additional SELF-CARE support to Black women in trauma recovery therapy.

-I want to provide information, coaching and support for these ladies to learn how to prioritize their own well-being and deeply care for their emotional and physical needs in a way that transforms their lives and brings PEACE, CALM and JOY.

-I want to see tons of IG photos of healthy, vibrant, joyful Black women with a sparkle in their eyes.

Here is a list of criteria that make for a good fit for this project:

You are a Black Woman who:

- has started a childhood
trauma recovery journey AND can use additional support in identifying how to best-care for yourself while in therapy.

-has started a childhood trauma recovery journey AND wants additional tools to deepen your therapy experience.

-is currently in individual therapy, but may be feeling stuck and unsure how to go deeper or get traction in the childhood trauma recovery process.

-has done the work of individual therapy to address childhood trauma in the past AND is eager to continue your own trauma recovery process.

-is curious about the
possibility of starting therapy AND you want to better understanding how your childhood trauma has impacted you.
