Diverse Abilities Day is coming soon on Thursday, February 1st!

Please help us make this a success by donating your time to volunteer. No prior knowledge or experience needed. We have easy to follow step by step instructions for volunteers!

Our Diverse Abilities School Program allows students to experience what it might be like to live with a diverse ability. This popular program has been used in Frisco ISD schools for over 10 years and has been very sucessful at promoting understanding, compassion, and empathy while celebrating differing abiliites. Reminder for 5th grade parents! Only 10 days left to order your yearbook ads!

A New Year means it’s time to take care of yourself! For the next couple of weeks, GrandLux Nail Salon is giving us 25% back on anyone who gets services done AND puts the receipts in the bucket.

So, take your friends, daughters, mothers, etc. and get pampered! Even better, TELL your neighbors, friends, etc if they go to make sure and put their receipts in our bucket! It is an easy way to support our school doing something that people already do anyway!

This give back runs from 1/2 - 1/23! And counts as our “spirit night” for the month! 💅🏼

Our winter parties were a hit today! Thanks to all the parents who volunteered their time to cut out decorations out of butcher paper, run the stations, set up and clean up. We so appreciate you!

A huge shoutout to our PTA President, Megan Garlick Mucci and President-elect Erica Luthman Lisi for working tirelessly to put everything together! The kids loved it!

🍪🍪🍪 Don’t Forget! Our annual Cookie Exchange is this Friday!

This is a gift we give the teachers and staff by donating 1 or 2 dozen cookies wrapped in packs of 6 in disposable trays or packs for the staff to enjoy. We are also taking donations for anyone who would like to participate but doesn't have the time to make (or buy) treats for that day.

REMINDER! Starting tomorrow, the first-ever PTA Student Holiday shop will be open, December 11-15th. Please see flyer in Thursday folder for more details, and there should also be a form sent home this week with information. Students will shop during a designated class time, similar to Book Fair, and there will be time on Thursday for anyone who would like to do some return shopping or missed out on their class time. The shop will also be open until 3:45 on Tuesday, 12/12. Items range from $.25- $15.

ATTENTION 5TH GRADE FAMILIES! It's time to plan your 5th grade year book ads! Here are the directions for this year!

The 5th grade yearbook ads will be full color and included in the school's hard cover yearbook.The ads are $25 for a ¼ page. No half page or full page options are available. Payment for the ad is on the Purefoy PTA website. This fee is separate from your yearbook purchase. Yearbooks will be available to order soon.
Ads are created by parents and finished ads are to be sent to [email protected].

✅ Send the file as a high resolution PDF. Please name the file as the student's last name followed by their first name (example: HuntMichele.pdf)
✅ All ads and payments must be received by Friday, January 19th, no exceptions.
Ads can only be for 5th grade students, not businesses.
✅ You will need to provide the images in a full resolution PDF format, already designed, with pictures/text, etc.
✅ ¼ pg ads MUST be in portrait orientation with the dimensions of 4” wide x 5.25” high to leave space between ads.
✅ Pictures used need to be in full resolution/actual size, no texted images as they will NOT be of high enough quality.
✅ Parents must have the rights to the photos they are sending.

Purefoy PTA is so excited for our first-ever Holiday Shop! We are looking for parent volunteers who have completed the background check to assist in this shopping process.

During your volunteer slot, you will be shopping with the students ensuring that they stay on budget, make decisions in a timely manner and complete their shopping list/stay on task. This will be fun, and the students will be so proud!

Consider asking your child if they would prefer you volunteering with a class other than their own to maintain the element of surprise. Thank you so much!

We are so excited to offer the holiday shop for the first time for our kiddos! Often times kids want to buy their parents or loved ones a gift but don't have the means to do so (without spoiling the surprise!). We have arranged a Holiday Shop that will allow them to pick out and purchase inexpensive gifts for family or friends.

Mark your calendars & send money with your child next week! Your teachers will let you know the scheduled shopping times for their class.

📣 CALLING ALL WATCHDOGS! We all know how busy the holidays are for all of us! We are hoping to cover a lunch period for each teacher on December 13th. Each Watchdog will have the opportunity to eat lunch with their kiddo (optional), cover a lunch period and the following recess.

We will need 2 monitors for lunch and recess to make this happen and will be working with the office staff. We would love to knock out the full day for teachers so they can have a few extra minutes for lunch, errands, or planning!

Every year the staff looks forward to choosing from an assortment of cookies and stuffing them in cute gift bags to take home with them. This is a great way for us parents to wish the staff and teachers a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!
