"This mural means so much to us. It brings us so much joy and our only hope is that it can do the same for you. The first time we saw ._lu and her murals we knew we had to have her grace our shop with her talents. Ryan brought her into our life and made it all happen. Ryan is the first chair drummer for 'Family And Friends' and is the whole reason JP [Meadowlark Owner] is in the band. Touring is where he fell in love with coffee. ... So many aspects of this coffee shop feel like the culmination of all of the things we love, and being able to have this mural represents it in every way."

It's Mural Monday!
Featuring: The Coca-Cola Mural

This mural is located on the side of Occasions Florist Gainesville, also known as the old Imperial Pharmacy building, on the corner of Washington and Bradford Streets on the historic Downtown Square.
According to summerhistoric.com/murals, the hand-painted mural is in thanks to Summer. He wrote a letter to Doug Ivester, former CEO of The Coca-Cola Co. and Hall County native, asking for permission to use the logo. Ivester responded by sending an artist up with an array of signs for Summer to choose from. Summer owns several buildings in and around Gainesville adorned with vintage Coke advertising.
