Solving the puzzle of precision medicine at the 2020 UF Precision Medicine Conference » College of Pharmacy » University of Florida The fifth annual UF Precision Medicine Conference attracted more than 185 attendees from 30 states and was held Feb. 20-22, in Orlando.

It was another amazing year for the University of Florida Precision Medicine Conference. More than 175 attendees enjoyed presentations from nearly 30 thought leaders and experts, as the field moves toward broader clinical implementation of precision medicine.

One of the annual highlights of the UF Precision Medicine Conference is the networking reception and poster session. This year, 28 abstracts were accepted featuring pharmacogenomics and precision medicine researchers from around the United States.

At the morning session of the 2020 UF Precision Medicine Conference, our keynote speaker Dr. Peter O'Donnell helped us solve the puzzle of better prescribing in the era of precision medicine. We also heard from health system leadership about the challenges and rewards of getting started with precision medicine in a health system.

We are underway at day one of the UF Precision Medicine Conference. Dr. Kevin Hicks is one of our preconference speakers at , as he shares details about Moffitt Cancer Center personalized cancer medicine clinical services.

This interactive conference equipped physicians, pharmacists and other providers with training to implement genomic medicine and pharmacogenomics in a variety of settings.

Dean Julie Johnson shared how genetics plays a role in making decisions about a person's health care during a presentation at the Shell Point Retirement Community Medical Breakthrough & Discoveries forum in Fort Myers. More than 200 people attended the presentation to learn about advances in precision medicine how patients and providers can select the right medications based on genetics.
