Hidden Oak Elementary PTA wants to invite all K-5 students to participate in the 40 book challenge which starts this week!
Students are asked to read forty books over the course of the school year, 10 books each nine weeks. Kids and parents log those books on the form that will be part of your child's take home folder.
For students in grades K-2, any book counts, and it is ok for it to be a book that an adult reads to the student. For grades 3-5, the book must be read by the student, and each 100 pages read counts as one book. That means if you read one two hundred page book that will count as two books! We hope that all of our students participate as each 10-book benchmark that is reached gets your student a prize, and if they complete the challenge they get to participate in a party with ice cream, music, games, and bounce houses! Happy reading!
