Please support the Annual Cleveland Car Show. They are auctioning off this quilt made by Geneseo Quilt Guild members. Bev Rosenbalm (a treasured Guild member)passed away in 2021 and her husband has graciously donated many items to the Guild. Information about the Car Show is in the comments.

Cindy Hoste’s adorable “Summer Fun” quilt is currently hanging at the Geneseo Library. Our June meeting is Tuesday, June 11th at Concordia Lutheran Church at 7:00 pm. For our program we are encouraging members to bring a quilt with a “story to tell.” It should be a great time.

May Guild meeting is next Tuesday 5/14 7:00 pm at Concordia Lutheran Church. Sharon Davison will give the program on “Dancing with Threads-Art of Quilting.” It is an introduction to thread painting on fabric. This beautiful quilt featured here is by Christine Courter Fier is called Over& Under & Down. Hope to see you Tuesday. Anyone is welcome.

Our regular Guild meeting is Monday, September 11th at 7:00 pm. Our guest speaker will be Nancy Hook who is a long arm quilter. She will discuss what she looks for when a customer requests quilting. The Geneseo Quilt Guild’s 2023 Quilt Show will feature more than 250 quilts at the “Harvest of Quilts” Show in September at the Geneseo Community Center, 541 East North St., Geneseo.
Quilt show hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16. Admission is $5. Lunch will be available to purchase.
In addition to the display of quilts on the main floor of the gym and around the walking track, the event will include featured quilter Joanne Boggs, raffle baskets, vendors from several area quilt shops, bed turning, Quilting Treasures Boutique, quilt appraisals by Janette Dwyer and a drawing for the raffle quilt made and quilted by Guild members Deb Magerkurth, Dawn Rettig and Mary Martin, and quilted by Adam C. Frommelt of Chicago.
The raffle quilt is 90” x 90” and has an appraised value of $2.200. Tickets for the quilt raffle are $1 each or six tickets for $5.

August Library Quilt is “Running Free” pieced by Dawn Rettig and quilted by Laura Sipes(Sunshine Quilting). What a beautiful way to enhance a panel! Our August Quilt Guild meeting is at 7 pm on Monday the 14th. The program will be given by Kim Rentz, tips for a perfect 1/4” seam.
