The form for pickups will open tomorrow to schedule pickups for next week! Please read the previous post regarding changes for the semester. As a reminder here are our new hours for the semester:
Sunday: 6pm-9pm
Monday-Thursday: 12pm-4pm AND 6pm-9pm
IMPORTANT: Since we are offering new hours this semester, the form will operate on a Sunday through Friday deadline and pickups are scheduled for the following week.
We hope everyone had a great winter break! We understand this post is lengthy, but please read it carefully and reach out if you have any questions or concerns.Â
The pantry had grown immensely during the fall semester. Due to this demand we are adjusting our supply chain and transitioning to a donation based pantry. The GGEFP has been more than helpful in our endeavors and students are welcome to continue using the GGEFP if you choose. On that note, please be patient with us as there may be a limit to the items we are able to provide students with.
Additionally, there is new paperwork associated with using the pantry. Students must fill out an attestation form required by Foodlink once per year. For the majority, this does not impact your eligibility as most do not have an income greater than $30,000. This form is embedded in our google form so please email us if you have any questions.Â
Additionally, we are offering new hours this semester. They are as follows:
Sunday: 6pm-9pm
Monday-Thursday: 12pm-4pm AND 6pm-9pm
IMPORTANT: Since we are offering new hours this semester, the form will operate on a Sunday through Friday deadline and pickups are scheduled for the following week. The form will open on the first day of classes, Tuesday 01/24.Â
Again, please be patient with us as we undergo these changes. Reach out with any questions or concerns and enjoy your final days of break!
With the semester coming to an end soon, this coming week is the last chance to receive a bag for the semester! Please fill out the request form in our bio by Saturday to receive your last bag.
The Pantry at Geneseo was established as a requirement of the SUNY Food Insecurity Task Force. We are conducting a survey to improve our services and gain updated statistics on studentâs need for food. COVID-19 has increased food insecurity drastically and we expect our data to represent that increase. Participants' responses will be collected anonymously and used to assess our Pantryâs current operation. Eventually we would like to expand our research to interview students who have used The Pantry to share their experiences on how food insecurity has affected their education.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can fill out our survey!

Our first year up and running is complete! The coordinators would like to thank and for helping facilitate pickups throughout the year! It would not have been possible without them. We had a total of 51 pickups throughout the year with a 21 percent increase for the spring semester. We would like to congratulate our Logistics and Inventory Coordinator on graduating!! We will be up and running again in the fall. If you have any questions please email us and we will check it occasionally over the summer. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer!!
There's only two weeks left of the semester! Please note that we will be closing our form for pickups on Sunday 05/08. The coming week will be the last week for pickups this semester. Please return any reusable bags provided to you from The Pantry. Check out our website for resources to utilize over the summer!
On Monday (05/02) we will be giving away some of the donations we received this semester. There will be a table in the GOLD room (CU 114) with donations on it. Feel free to take whatever you would like. Please bring your own bag to carry them and return any of the Pantry's bags you may have. The table will be available 12pm-8pm.
With one month left in the semester and one of our coordinators graduating, we are looking for someone to fill the position. We are looking for a Logistics and Inventory Coordinator for 2022-2023.
