Come to the 10:45 AM Yoga Flow classes at the Georgetown Rec Center! I am now teaching the Wednesday, Yoga Flow class at 10:45 AM and starting in June, I will be teaching the Monday, 10:45 AM Breathe and Flow class. The classes are inside in the multi-purpose room.
It's been a pleasure getting to know the students that have been coming to the Wednesday class. It’s extremely important for me to ensure that my students are breathing diaphragmatically and using proper form in their asanas to prevent injury. Right now, we’re focusing on the basics and how to modify poses with props. I hope to help Yogis overcome plateaus with alternatives to what isn’t working so they may progress effectively and safely.
I understand that students in class are at different levels of experience and ability, so I teach variations of the postures. Yoga class is generally not a “one size fits all” situation so I do my best to accommodate multi levels in class. I want Yogis to feel comfortable practicing at their level with inspiration toward the next.

Salute to the Sun
Wednesday nights, April through May at 6:30 to 7:30 in Garey Park:
Wind down along with the sun, breathing and stretching in a flow and hold style Yoga class. We start with deep breathing and end with the traditional Savasana relaxation pose after some stretching. You will learn basic Sun Salutations or enhance your current practice of them. You will flow through some poses Vinyasa style and will hold some poses Hatha style. Please note, participants will need to be able to get up and down off the mat. However, modifications are offered so beginners can ease into the practice and experienced students can be challenged. Heart rates will rise moderately; this class is appropriate for yoga newbies to intermediates. Level 1-4. Bring your own mat, water, and towel and come get your yoga on!
