PROTEIN
🔸Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today we are going over the importance of protein. Protein is one of our three macronutrients, along with carbs and fat, that make up the bulk of our diet (or at least it should). If you are looking to lose fat, a higher protein diet is highly recommended.
🔸When fueling your body pre and post-workout, getting a good source of protein is vital. Particularly after a workout, eating 20-25 grams (along with carbs) is what you need to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, which will help to recover and grow your muscles.
🔸Whether your source is from animal or plant-based protein just get in anywhere from 1-2 g per kg of bodyweight daily to ensure that you are giving your body the nutrients it needs.

MOVEMENT ON REST DAYS
🔸Happy Saturday Everyone! Today’s post is all about recovery. If you are pushing yourself in the gym, you may need a day of just sitting around and doing nothing, but if you are feeling sore or tight, the best thing for your body is movement!
🔸Some ideas for you could be a walk outside, some yoga or even just housework can be enough to help you actively recover. Taking 1-3 of these a week can improve your performance and help you achieve your goals by increasing your caloric expenditure unintentionally.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about fitness and wellness with sales experience. They must be outgoing, motivated, experienced, reliable, confident, and a team player. They must be NASM, equivalent, or higher level certificate. CPR/AED certification is a must. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Exercise Sciences a plus. We are a private personal training studio, not open gym. All sessions are by appointment only, so hours are flexible. Session times currently in highest demand are Monday-Thursday, between 3-8pm, and Saturday, between 6am-2pm.
