Please welcome Christina as a new addition to the YBA family!
Christina Johansen is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is committed to partnering with her patients and creating individualized plans of care to support their unique needs, wants, and goals.

Christina is originally from Phoenix, Arizona where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner program from Grand Canyon University. She has been in medicine for 15 years collectively.

Christina has worked as an inpatient nurse at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix Arizona on a unit that specialized in kidney, liver, pancreas transplants, and took care of step down ICU patients with a variety of acute conditions. She always knew she had a desire to go back to school for an advanced degree to make more of an impact on healthcare and her patients. After she obtained her Nurse Practitioner license, she was fortunate to be trained by Dr. DeRosa in bioidentical hormone therapy for men and women as well as thyroid management. She then moved to Fort Collins, Colorado and worked initially for the largest family practice in town and helped open one of their brand new, state of the art urgent care/primary care centers. Christina then made the change over to employer based healthcare where she served as the clinical director for 4 years and helped manage the care and reduce employer healthcare cost for the City of Fort Collins employees and dependents. She then moved back to Arizona where she practiced as primary care provider.

Christina has always had a passion for empowering her patients and helping them achieve their wellness and health goals. She has an extreme appreciation for the benefits and positive impact that hormone therapy can have for men and women and is excited to be back in the field. In addition, she has a desire to help individuals achieve their aesthetic goals through enhancing their natural beauty and providing them the best clinical outcomes.

While not in clinic, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their boy and girl twins.
