This week’s Sailor Spotlight is the lovely 💘 Shes a proud member of MC ‘22 and never ceases to amaze us all with her positive energy and talent!!!

“Hey y’all, I’m Avery Lindsey! I’m a first year from Austin, Texas, and I’m studying Applied math and English. Since I’ve been at UCSB, I’ve been stoked to be a part of DG and , where I’ve met some of my favorite people in the whole wide world. My bandmates and I formed Big Hungry at the beginning of the year, and we’ve recently been playing gigs in the IV/SB area. We’ll be in the studio soon to start recording originals, so check us out on Spotify in a couple weeks! I love live music and sharing that creativity with others, and I’ve felt nothing but support and encouragement from dg. When I’m not playing the bass with Big Hungry, I love to read, write, and get outside with my dg buddies. Thank you dg for showing up for the band. Y’all are the best! I love you guys!”

“Hi! My name is Morgan and I am a second year Delta Gamma. I am fortunate enough to currently hold the position of Director of Green. This position is near & dear to me and I hope to bring more awareness to taking care of our planet. Being raised in Hawaii and in a community that highlights the importance of our land and seas, I am passionate about caring for our environment. In high school, I worked with various organizations such as Surfrider and NOAA to organize beach cleanups and teach others about preserving our land and seas. As the new Director of Green, I aspire to take the lead in my chapter and share my values of how important the ocean and environment is to each and every one of us and why we all need to do our part in making our world a better place”

This week’s Senior Spotlight is the one and only 💘 Elizabeth has been making DG proud since day one and we cannot wait to see what amazing things life has in store for her!!

“Hi everyone!! I’m Elizabeth and I’m at fourth year Psychology & Brain Sciences major. This past year I was lucky enough to serve as VP Membership alongside my best friends. Not only did my position allow me to reflect on my own membership, it gave me the opportunity to grow closer to all member classes! Continuing the legacy of UCSB DG with my best friend has been one of the most rewarding experiences that I will cherish for years. I am forever grateful for everything I have learned while being in DG and the lifelong friendships I have made.

As I wrap up my senior year, I am spending time making memories with my friends and working!! I am so thankful for everything UCSB has given me, and I will miss our beachside paradise!💛”

“Wow! I can’t believe a year has come and gone so quickly- 2022 will remain such a special year in my life as it marked my time as President. This has been such an incredible honor that I will remember fondly for the rest of my life. As my time in DG comes to a close, I am eternally grateful for everything this chapter has given me in my four years-this position only sweetened that sentiment. Hope everyone is enjoying break so far 💓 Meet this weeks senior spotlight .maus !!!

“Hi! I’m Bailey and i’m a 4th year psychology major and history minor! I’m recently finished my position as VP Foundation for DG which was one of the most rewarding experiences ever! i learned so much about service, philanthropy, my sisters, and what we are all passionate about! I also worked on CMT with some of my best friends which made it even better!

Other than that, i have been working and trying to make the most out of my senior year! i am so grateful for all the memories i have made with my DG sisters and all that it has taught me!

After graduation, i plan to travel europe with my best friends then enter the corporate world in HR! for now i’m just enjoying my last few months with my best friends in the best place in the world!”

“Working at SB Urban Flea Market has been one of the most rewarding and adventurous experiences. From working with our 30+ vendors to meeting customers from all over the world, this job has taught me so many skills. I’ve been working at the store for over a year and have worked my way up to manager and a vendor! The entire staff is truly a supportive and loving community in my life. One of my favorite parts is seeing my DG sisters come into the store. I am so grateful for the opportunities this job has given me and I cannot wait to see where it will take me next :)”

Meet this weeks WhyDgWednesday .campbell! Here’s a little bit more about her experience in DG so far:

“Hi everyone! My name is Kennedy Campbell and I am a third year transfer student from Newport Beach. I joined DG because every conversation I had during the recruitment process was beyond genuine, kind, and welcoming. I became instant friends with all the girls I talked to and have continued to meet some of the most inspiring women. DG has already given me so many opportunities and has influenced me to do great things just by seeing what those around me have done. Having a community of girls who want me to succeed and do my best has made this experience the most special and fulfilling. I couldn’t be happier with my decision and cannot wait for all that is to come!”

“Hello! I’m Hannah Levy and I am a second year from Los Gatos, California. I am so happy to say that I am a new member to DG this year! When I decided I wanted to join a sorority, I knew I wanted to be involved with a group that shared similar interests and values to my own and from the very beginning, DG showed me exactly that. Every girl I have met have made me feel so at home and supported. I love being surrounded by so many amazing and down-to-earth women. I am beyond proud to now be a part of the DG family and look forward to all that it brings! :)”

By my side every step of the way, Merissa is my cheerleader and shoulder to cry on whenever I need her. I cherish every memory together whether it be sorority events, or even the really boring ones like studying late at night in the lib together. It’s now crazy to think there was even a point in my life without her in it. I’m so thankful to DG for introducing me to her and many other amazing women in the chapter!”
