Had a fun time on Thursday at Lagrave Learning Center and St Joseph’s summer lunch program! We made a sun catcher and child got a mini art pack. We are able to do these events by amazing donations from you !

We got to tag along with Grand Forks Children's Museum for the summer meal program hosted by St Joseph’s social care. We made Sun Catchers and Robots collages. Art matters also gave mini art packs to all kids that came. This is made possible through your donations ! St Joseph’s thank you for getting meals to kids during the summer!

We are so grateful to have our volunteers! I big thank you to those who came out on the 4th of July. It made a huge difference in how the day went. You all made a difference in a kid's life!

It's only a week away! We hope you can join us at our 4th of July festival and fireworks show!! Check out the schedule for all the great activities we have planned. This event is family friendly and free thanks to all our awesome sponsors and the hard work of our members. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the festival and are currently available at GF/EGF Hugo's Family Marketplace locations, Rydell Toyota of Grand Forks, Northern Roots Boutique Grand Forks, and Eagles Crest Grill.

Still in need of volunteers for the 4th of July art activities 😊 if you have an hour or two to spare from 11-6 pm and can help out please let me know! All you have to do is show up all supplies are provided!

Last year we donated over 600 art packs to the community!

Art Matters is back for the summer ! Stay tuned in how we are giving back to the community and how to support us. We had the amazing opportunity to work with the Grand Forks Public Library and we had a blast. Thank you to my volunteers and my mom for helping out !

We dropped off 35 art packs for Winship Elementary. Many of them are for New Americans! We love helping all kids get the gift of art!

We love working with teachers especially art teachers! We gave 20 art packs to South Middle School ! Thank you for all you do for your students Ms. B!

We are back at the CVIC to drop off 50 art packs. We love working with the CVIC and thank them for all they do for the community! Thank you for making people feel safe and loved.

We delivered 29 packs to Love in Action GF! If you don’t know about love in action they are a great group that help our community in great ways! We are honored to partner with them.

Thank you Grand Forks Subaru for putting letting us join you on your mission to get gifts for all the Kids in Foster Care. We were able to get out 180 art packs to ND Health and Human Services

Update: Due to multiple requests there will be a 18+ category added.

This is our first coloring contest. We will choose three winners from age brackets: Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. Once completed, you can either drop off your artwork at GFPD Records in the main lobby 8am- 5pm, or you can mail it in to GFPD, 122 S 5th St, Grand Forks, ND 58201. Please include the name, age, and contact information (parent's contact information is ok) on the back of the page. We will post the top three from each group for the public to choose the winner in each category (there will be a prize for each category). You can either download a copy from our website (link below) or pick up a copy from the GFPD Records front counter, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

Due Date: 12-29-2023

No need to check in with anyone when you pick up or drop off. The sheets will be located at the lobby windows.

Today was a big day ! Many of you know Pastor Kirk of Cavalry Lutheran Church of Grand Forks, and that he suddenly passed away recently. He was a big supporter of kids and those in need. One place that was close to his heart was the Lewis and Clark Elementary backpack program . Art matters wanted to honor his legacy by donating an art pack to EVERY (195) student that attends Lewis and Clark. Art Matters and friends were able to hand deliver the packs in person today. I know Pastor Kirk is up there saying “isn’t this great ! “.
