Our youth creatives have a vision! This week students learned about creative composition. Thank you to our guest speaker for speaking about magazine journalism and visual storytelling! Students then created mood/vision boards of their photography inspiration💭We have quite a few 'Future Creative Directors' on our hands!

We are honored to introduce April "Ms. April" Ruiz, our Photography Instructor!
Owner of Candy APEL, April has over 20 years of photography experience. April is also the founder of Mosaic Masterminds, a team of educators providing academic support services to learners of all ages. We are excited about her contributions to the camp curriculum. In her free time, April enjoys music, dancing, watching movies, and solving math problems for fun! Thank you for teaching this summer, Ms. April!
Yesterday we kicked off our first day of photography camp! Students began their journey with a lesson on the history of photography including evolution, types of photographers, and biographies of photographers from past and present! Before jumping into their professional DSLR's later this week, students had the opportunity to experiment with Polaroid cameras. 💥 With a sprinkle of "get to know you" team-building activities, CAMP DAY 1 WAS A SUCCESS! 🥳
Photography camp is approaching! We are so excited to meet our youth creatives and start our 2-week creative adventure on July 10!
