Pastor Mark shared this quote with us this morning. Sometimes God wants to redirect our steps and it may be hard, it may be painful, and it may not be in the direction we thought we were supposed to go. Are we willing to follow the Lord not just through green pastures and still waters, but also if the path leads down to a ravine where it seems you are hidden?

There's just something about a Sunday morning, worshipping together and being in community with the body of Christ!

Entitle owners - easily angered when things don’t go their way. Humble servants - Grateful to steward anything that belongs to God. Entitled owners - carry the weight of everything in their power. Humble servants - are yoked up with the owner of it all. Grateful we get to participate even though He is carrying most of the weight. Entitled Owners - Lose themselves when they lose anything. Humble Servants - Stay secure in Christ because our life comes from God, not what God gives us.

Psalm 150 is the final chapter in the Book of Psalms, and it has a lot to teach us about praising God. Psalm 150 begins with ‘praise the Lord’ and ends with ‘praise the Lord’. Therefore, everything else in between must be significant in teaching us about praising God.

Let’s praise God in the beginning of our day, at the end of our day and in between. 🙏🏾🙌🏾✨

Knowing Gods word helps and guides us to make better decisions in the midst of life’s uncertainties. How can we know what God says, if we never open our Bibles to hear what He has already said?

If Disciples of Jesus exercise their influence as salt, they will have opportunity to exercise their influence as light. Light is a common symbol in the Bible. It represents purity, truth, knowledge, divine revelation, and God’s presence - all in contrast to their opposites.

Faith is not something God hears. It’s something God sees. Faith has feet to it.

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26

The Bible is not a buffet where you can pick and choose which segments and parts you like and dislike. It’s consuming all of it. When God’s word gets in us it transforms us!

James 1:3 says, “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” “Trying” means tested. Good faith is tested.
