the Branch Church
We are a community of belonging and renewal. We’ll admit it. We’re not a church that has it all together. We make mistakes and have lots more to learn.
And yet, there are things that are true of the Branch that are examples of God's grace. Things that are clear signs of God’s grace and goodness. Here are some of those signs:
We are…
a church that views itself as a family more than a religious organization. We do this because this is how God sees us — adopted children and hairs — members of one body — everyone a necessary and needed part. a chur

It’s a beautiful morning and we’re learning more than we knew we could about this part of God’s created world.
We're heading to Palmer Park this morning to explore the creek's ecosystem and wonder what it might teach us about connectedness. We will have waders available for those who want to get in the creek, though that is not required. Join us at 10 - either at Palmer Park or online.

After months of discernment and work, we are celebrating becoming owners of the building at 973 28th St. SE! We'd love for you to be there.
Join us on June 2 as we reflect on our nearly 20 years at this location (as renters), mark this important transition, and dream together about how we might leverage this facility for the sake of transformation, healing and belonging for those at The Branch and the wider community.
How would you finish this sentence? My life is...
Chances are most of us would finish with the word "busy."
This Sunday we are choosing to slow down. To be still. To listen and connect. Join us at Garfield Park (the parking lot off of Madison) at 10am.
AYA Youth Collective is one of the organizations that we as a faith community support. One of the ways that we do that is by preparing a hot meal for the youth they serve. We plan to do that tomorrow evening from 5:30-7pm at their downtown facility. If you can help, sign up here:

Let's play a game!!! What do you think of when someone mentions April 15?
If you said opening day for CREATE 2024 Registration, you would be right!!! Wait...did you think we were reminding you of Tax Day? CREATE registration will be much more fun (and easier!) than filing your taxes that day!
How do we become people of depth - people of integrity and authenticity - people who are centered and at peace even when the world feels out of control?
In April we'll consider four tested principles that offer us wisdom for a life of transformation.
As we walk through Holy Week - a week that is full of both heaviness and celebration, we encourage you to engage in practices that are meaningful to you. Here are the gatherings that we are offering this weekend.

After spending over a week in Palestine and Israel as part of a twenty three member, multi-denominational delegation, Chris and Josh Vis will share stories and reflections from their time in Palestine and Israel.
Learning about the facts on the ground will not only inform, but will also inspire us to do what we can to move toward justice and peace.

Join us tonight at 7pm for our Ash Wednesday Gathering. This will be a reflective space to name what is true and set our intentions for the season ahead.
Our gathering this Sunday will be a GROUP Sunday! Cook a meal for yourself and for AYA Youth Collective . Play games with some friends. Discuss how current events and faith intersect. Or simply be present to yourself and to God in silence. Haven't joined a group before? Don't know what a GROUP Sunday is? Head to our website: https://thebranchonline.org/group-sundays/
We were privileged to partner with AYA Youth Collective last Saturday as they work to get another house ready for occupancy. We put together furniture, did a lot of cleaning and some paint touch ups. We were grateful to be a small part of it this important work.
AYA has a number of homes in the city where "youth can rest, recharge, and heal. In each home, mentors act as the first point of contact for youth. Community is built through weekly house dinners, shared experiences, and daily interactions. It’s a model that feels more like a family than a program. We recognize that having stable housing is only the start of long term stability. It’s through community that youth begin to rebuild their circles of support and achieve interdependence" (from AYA's website).
