The Consistory wishes to express their appreciation to Pastor Suzanne for her devoted service to the congregation. Following the service TOMORROW (Sept. 8th) in the CLC, a luncheon will be held to honor her contributions.
Join us in saying THANK YOU, FAREWELL, and BEST WISHES to Pastor Suzanne and her family! She has been an absolute blessing to SRC during this time of transition.
What does it look like to be a mature Christian? Sometimes we imagine that it means we have achieved some sort of spiritual perfection, that we no longer slip up, and that we can coast along on our advanced knowledge of the faith. As we continue our study of Philippians this week (3:12-4:1) we will discover that these assumptions themselves are immature. Maturity as a Christian means that we understand that we never "arrive" but that we are called always to keep pressing on toward a deeper relationship with Jesus--that our true citizenship is not in this world, but in the next.
Join us as we work together on becoming mature in our faith!
Get ready for an epic year, Standale Youth! Middle and high schoolers, it's time to kick off another season of fun, faith, and friendship. See you THIS SUNDAY for our first Youth Group of the year—don’t miss out! 🙌
The September Mission of the Month is our Deacon's Fund. The Deacon's Fund is designed to help people in our church and community when there is a need. The deacons use their discernment on how to best help and utilize the donations in this fund.
The Deacon's Fund has blessed many and we would love to have the ability to bless more. Thank you, deacons, for your diligent work making a difference in this way.
This week we will continue our study of Philippians as we move on to chapter 3! We all have many sets of values that affect how we live our lives. This week we are going to look at those values and consider whether the value we place on certain things is really rightly placed. There is no greater value than knowing Jesus, but is that how we live? Is that relationship the one that everything else in our lives hinges on?
Join us this Sunday as we challenge ourselves to think through our true priorities.
☀️ SUMMER RECAP ☀️ Relive the joy of this summer with us!
This summer, Standale Reformed Church hosted a season full of incredible events that brought our community together like never before. From heartfelt worship to fun-filled gatherings, we saw lives touched and connections strengthened. It was truly amazing to witness the success of our efforts as we reached out to our neighbors and deepened our bonds of faith and fellowship. Watch the highlights and celebrate with us!
This Sunday we will continue our walk through Paul's letter to the Philippians as we look at 2:1-11. This famous passage calls to look squarely at the example of Jesus as our model for how we are to live. In him we find encouragement, comfort, love and the pattern of what a transformed life and community look like; we learn that to truly find ourselves, we must lose ourselves in the one who died for us.
Join us Sunday at 9:30 a.m.!

We are back to our summer series on Paul's letter to the Philippians as we explore together what it means to "live a life worthy of the gospel of Christ" in Philippians 1:27-30. We live in a world that is hostile to the Christian life. How do we stand firm when things get tough? What does it mean to suffer for Jesus and why should we consider it an honor to do so?
Join us this Sunday at 9:30 as we continue our journey together.
I got to watch the dress rehearsal this afternoon and I can confirm, cutest talent show ever!! If you have an hour to spare before our block party tomorrow, come cheer these cutie kiddos on!!
We hope you will join us tomorrow, August 8th, at 5:00pm for the cutest show you will ever see!🩷🌟☺️
Please join us this week as we welcome Rev. Mark Kamper! Rev. Kamper will guide us through Ezekiel 25 & Philippians 1:6, giving us a deeper understanding of Communion:
Do you think of Communion as a teaser? I've heard it described as an appetizer, a small taste of what is to come. In a land of "fast food", it may be that we need a longer view, a bigger picture of what Communion is all about.
We'll meet you at the table on Sunday morning at 9:30am!
We are proud to support the Walker Police Department Community Care Initiative as our June Mission of the Month! The Community Care Initiative uses donations to purchase gift cards for the Walker PD Officers to use in caring for those in acute crisis situations. Officers use the gift cards to purchase goods and/or services to ease immediate crisis. Officers and social workers then loop back to assist with a more holistic care plan and connect them with community resources. What a great way to give back to our community!
Christians often say that God guides us through all of the ups and downs in life with something we call the Holy Spirit. If this is true, what should we know (and is there anything we need to do) so that we can listen to and follow this mysterious part of God who guides us?
Join us this week as guest speaker Rev. Billy Norden guides us through John 15 and 16, teaching us how we might better listen to and follow the Holy Spirit.
THIS WEEK!! We hope you'll join us on Wednesday evening at 6pm for The Known Tour with Jason Squires! This FREE concert is a great opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy a beautiful summer evening with your family.

Join us for week two of our sermon series on Philippians, as we look at 1:12-26 together and discover the surprising ways God works through us and our lives in unlikely circumstances. God can make our lives fruitful even when it seems impossible and he is calling us to live for him, to progress and find our joy in faith in Jesus and to discover that "to live is Christ!"
This Sunday we will begin a sermon series on Paul's letter to the Philippians. Paul's main goal in this short letter is to encourage the Philippians in their faith. This week we will look at Philippians 1:1-11 and find our own ENCOURAGEMENT in Paul's words. We will learn about the special partnership we share with one another as believers in Christ and also some new ways to pray for ourselves, our friends, families, and our church! Don't miss this opportunity to strengthen your faith and worship God!
Our Mission of the Month is Words of Hope. “The mission of Words of Hope is to provide people both near and far with daily access to God’s Word.” Words of Hope goes beyond being solely a devotional ministry or a missions agency! By engaging
with Words of Hope and connecting with the truths of Scripture daily, you will also develop a deeper appreciation for and commitment to the global church. Contributions made to the ministry will directly support providing access to Scripture for individuals worldwide. Their stories of transformation, faith, and spiritual growth will inspire your own journey of faith, fostering the growth of the global church both near and far!
This week we will look again at how God uses us and our gifts for his purposes. What does it really mean to have a heart that is made in the image of our Creator--a heart that is shaped by more than just our own wants and desires? How can our human gifts be transformed to have ultimate meaning and eternal value? We will look at 1 Corinthians 13--the "love chapter"--for a surprising twist on how love transforms everything--the foundational gift that moves us from "it's all about me" living to living for others and excelling in building up the church.
Join us this Sunday at 9:30 as we get REAL about our gifts and relationships.
Look at these butterflies SOAR!! 🦋 We are so proud of the kiddos in the Beyond School Program!!!
Worship Outdoors This ICE CREAM SUNDAY!
We are hoping for nice weather Sunday morning so we can worship outdoors together at 9:30 a.m. As we worship in the beauty of a summer morning, we will highlight God's amazing work in creation by looking at Job 38:1-11 and Mark 4:35-41. We will be reminded that evidence of God's beauty, creativity and power are everywhere around us and that we can trust God for all we need. "Outdoors we are confronted everywhere with wonders; we see that the miraculous is not extraordinary but the common mode of existence. It is our daily bread." --Wendell Berry
Don't forget to stay for an ICE CREAM SUNDAE bar immediately following worship! Invite your friends and family for this quintessential summer Sunday! Check out our event page for more details! https://fb.me/e/1Y8pkWBcl
This week we celebrate Father's Day! And as we do that, we will think about how our heavenly Father created and designed us with a deliberate plan and purpose. We'll look at Jeremiah 1:4-10 and consider our calling by virtue of being created by God--how God wants us to use our gifts to serve him.
Join us this Sunday at 9:30am!
We are so excited to announce the SRC Summer of Fun event schedule for 2024! Mark your calendars for these fun, family-friendly, FREE events that will take place throughout the summer!
