Custom 12" driver for guitar cabinets. This one is unique in many ways. The motor uses an Alnico magnet, underhung coil, Full Copper Faraday System, and a copper plated phase plug. Sound can be customized based on different paper pulp options with more or less breakup.

This one specifically uses a Kapok pulp that is very smooth and clean. Ideal for jazz and especially good for amplifying acoustic guitar.

Great for tube amp heads. Can come in impedance options from 4ohm to 32ohm.

The Alnico motor and edge gasket can be done in any color.

I'll be getting some response and impulse curves soon as well as other cone options.

Today I finally had some time to get the website updated. Pricing is now current. In addition, dimensional drawings are all linked on the product pages. This has been something that many have been emailing about and I finally got each product page updated.

Great work by Troy Joseph Crowe on this horn and custom phase plug used on a Dipole15. Veneer on the phase plug is even matched to the rest of the horn.

** New Pricing Schedule October 1 **

As previously announced, there will be a shift in pricing that is needed for long term sustainability. Acoustic Elegance woofers have no comparison when it comes to sound quality and low distortion characteristics. Every woofer is build specifically for each customer and labeled with your name on it. Not only that, but I am personally building woofers and supporting all customers. You are not just buying a product, but getting my 20+ years experience with it. Most of the high end woofers out there are priced 2-4x higher than AE woofers, without being personalized and without the level of support given. It is time to begin to shift things to position the woofers as the premium products they are.

Effective October 1, TD, Dipole, LO, and SBP woofers will be increasing by $200. The exception is TD6 and TD8 models will increase by $150. All IB models will be increasing by $150. The Apollo upgrade will be increasing from $150 to $200 with the exception of the Apollo for IB woofers increasing from $100 to $150.

Any orders that come in before 12:00am on Sunday, October 1, will be honored at current pricing. It is best to get your order in sooner than later as the build queue is growing quickly.

** Direction of Acoustic Elegance moving forward **

Hello everyone! I wanted to do a post to explain a shift in the direction of Acoustic Elegance going forward. The past 20 years of ups and downs have taught me many things. One of the most significant things I learned was a need to change and adapt.

From the beginning, I tried to keep prices low so as many customers as possible could enjoy Acoustic Elegance woofers. I set out with direct-to-consumer pricing for two reasons. One, to avoid the large markups associated with distributors and retailers. Two, to make sure that customers got the best advice possible. When you email with a question, you are getting a response from me directly. You aren't just getting a woofer, you are getting over 20 years of my experience and knowledge with it. Over the past few years, I have also been building nearly every woofer myself. I do have some part time help with some steps, but the majority of everything is done by me. I personally sand phase plugs by hand. I spray Cerakote on steel parts. I machine T-yokes and top plates. I apply the Full Copper Faraday Sleeves. I glue every cone. I solder the lead wires. You get the idea. You are not getting a mass produced product. You are receiving a premium product made specifically for you that I have invested my time, energy, and years of knowledge into it. I have heard over and over through the years that prices are simply too low to reflect the level of performance and the level of service that comes with them. It is time to agree with that.

There will be a shift to position the current product line as a premium product. Effective October 1, 2023, there will be an increase in price on all TD, SBP, Dipole, LO, and IB series woofers. The entire current product line. I am still working out the details for the new pricing, but wanted people to have time to plan accordingly if they want to get orders in at the current pricing. The new level of pricing can open up potential for distribution in other countries. It will also provide better quantity discounts for OEM customers.

There are some other exciting things that are also coming. The positioning of the current products as premium provides some room to introduce a new, more budget friendly line. This will be a line designed by me that will eventually be produced by another facility using the 20+ years of knowledge I have retained. Every woofer will still feature the Full Copper Faraday System that makes Acoustic Elegance woofers unique. This line will be produced in higher quantity with fewer options. This will allow it to be stocked in inventory and more readily available.

A new website will be also launched at the end of the year. This site will include plans and kits using our woofers as well as some other carefully chosen drivers from other brands. I am currently talking with a few CNC shops about cabinet flats and possibly prebuilt cabinets.

These changes are exciting. They ensure the future of Acoustic Elegance to be around for years to come. They will open up new markets. They will allow others to purchase woofers with much shorter lead times. I would like to thank everyone for sticking buy Acoustic Elegance over the years. The best is yet to come.

After what feels like forever, steel parts are refinished and ready for assembly for all Dipole, LO, SBP, and TD series woofers. We will begin shipping woofers out again at the end of this week. Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate through the ongoing supply chain issues.

Just finished up with the Cerakote on t-yokes and top plates for over 100 woofers. Had a lot that came in with very poor quality zinc plating. They all had to be stripped down and refinished adding significantly to production delays. For anyone waiting for woofers right now, they are in this batch and will begin shipping next week.

Over the years, we have also been building the IB18AU for Automotive Infinite Baffle use. but never got them up on the website. Recently we have had a lot more interest so they are now added to the website to order.

The Automotive IB series woofers are designed specifically for automotive infinite baffle applications. Great attention was put into designing a woofer at a reasonable cost that performs up to our high standards that meets the specific needs of this automotive application. The IBAU woofers cover the lowest octaves with efficiency and authority. They also offer good efficiency in the upper octaves where there is little cabin gain available. The natural acoustic roll-off of the woofers matches well with the cabin gain in most vehicles to simplify integration into the system. Distortion is incredibly low and the IBAU woofers are able to accurately reproduce any music they are asked to. High Xmax, high efficiency, wide bandwidth, and low distortion make the IBAU woofers an ideal option for automotive infinite baffle applications.

As with all Acoustic Elegance woofers, the IBAU series have been designed with the Full Copper Faraday Sleeve covering the entire pole. This sleeve aids in pulling heat away from the voice coil, lowering distortion, and increasing the upper bandwidth of the woofer. Great pride is taken in producing the IBAU woofers here in America. Only the best quality adhesives are used. All possible components are also sourced from within the USA whenever possible. Every piece of steel is machined in our facility to extremely tight tolerances. All woofers are individually tested and inspected before being packaged to leave the facility. We have made the SBP10 for quite some time. It just never got up on the website. I figured it was time to change that.

Throughout the years, the Dipole series have been the woofers of choice for many high end loudspeaker systems. Greg Takesh of GT Audio Works recently sent me some images of the new subwoofers using the Dipole12's in his REF 3 system with his large planar drivers. They did some beautiful cabinetry with Ebony Macassar and the overall results are spectacular.

If you are in the market for a high end system, GT Audio Works will be displaying at Capital Audio Fest from November 2 to November 5. Anyone who has been wanting to hear the Dipole woofers will get a chance to hear them powered by 2000 Watts and calibrated via DSP to the room. This will be a great showcase.
