The City of Green and the Catherine Richards Chapter National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution are partnering with Wreaths Across America to place wreaths on the graves of veterans at Green’s East Liberty Cemetery and Greensburg Cemetery on December 16, National Wreaths Across America Day.
The Wreaths Across America Day ceremony begins at 11 am at East Liberty Cemetery, 740 E Turkeyfoot Lake Road, and 2 pm at Greensburg Cemetery, 4890 Thursby Rd.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: We're almost there! Thank you to the community of Green for your patience through the infrastructure improvements of Massillon Road South. Final lane markings will be completed on Saturday and Monday. We anticipate the project opening up by end of day Monday, Nov. 20. Once open, for the safety of our work crews, the roundabout at Corporate Woods/Thorn Dr and Massillon will be one lane as final brick pavers in the truck apron are installed.

Congratulations to Karol Brown, the City of Green’s 2023 Volunteer of the Year! Karol has been a resident since 1988 picks up litter along Green streets during her daily 5-mile walks, something she's done for more than a decade. In addition, Brown and her husband, Paul, also volunteer at a local food pantry once a month.
Thank you, Karol Brown, for helping to make Green a better place!

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is TOMORROW, Saturday, October 28 at Fire Station #2, 393 East Turkeyfoot Lake Rd, from 10 am to 2 pm. The Summit County Sheriff Department collects unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs as a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription medicine.
If you are unable to make it to the Drug Take Back Day, the City always has FREE drug disposal bags available to residents during business hours at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd.
