Congratulations to all the wonderful GMS musicians! Both bands and all the choirs amazed audiences over the last week. GMS students are so talented!!!

This talented group of young ladies, the GMS Ensemble, were on stage at GHS this morning in preparation for the GMS Choir concert this evening. SO MUCH TALENT!

Earlier today, the GMS 8th grade band received straight “Superior” ratings at OMEA Jr High Contest! The musicians arrived to school at 7:00 am this morning.

This Superior rating puts them in line with our two GHS Bands that also received Superior ratings at contest in March.

We truly have Superior students and directors in our band program.

GMS students had a great day at the North Canton Skate Center today!

8th graders culminated their physical science unit by designing and launching pop bottle rockets in the stadium yesterday!

Congratulations to Ms. Maya Israel! She was nominated as our district representative for the Stark County Rookie Teacher of the year!

GMS B.R.A.V.E Boys Leadership group presented $1002.01 to the oncology department at Akron Children’s Hospital. The boys spent months working on this meaningful community service project to raise money to support children with cancer.

GMS track and field taking on North Canton.

The GMS Robotics team had a very successful weekend at the National Robotics Challenge! This tournament hosts 1,300 participants from 14 states, competing in 12 different event. This is the first year the Green Middle School Robotics team competed in formal competitions. Overall, they competed in 2 tournaments and came home with:

-1st place in BoxBot at the NEOTech Robotics Competition
-2nd place in BoxBot at the NEOTeach Robotics Competition
-Silver Award at the National Robotics Challenge

Our GMS ROX gals had the opportunity to meet and learn from Dr.Cecilia Staley, a local veterinarian from North Canton Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Staley described what a typical day looks like for a vet and how she achieved her goals from middle school through her current career. We are so appreciative of her time and being a role model for our girls. Thank you, Dr. Staley!!
