This is a common question with the new unlock system , Do I need my Code: NO.
In Connect app only enter your email and uncheck the verify/validate, then save.
With Garmin Connect phone app open and access to the internet, start the Watch app and wait at the start screen until the red bar disappears.

For now, all epic users and only my heart monitor (datafield) still needs the code/email..
Be sure not to include any spaces before or after the code.

If you are having a problem. First, give your watch a restart and check if the email/code are entered correctly. Sometimes, email/code do not save the first time after an install, if not enter again and try the app.
If you still have an issue, I have been getting feedback that users are needing to uninstall, restart the watch, reinstall the app due to the app may not being fully installed by the Connect Phone App..

Tips to a better you:
1.) Make an achievable plan (i.e. workout 30 minutes a day) verses 30 lbs in thirty days. Get Healthy first by making small healthy choices and the rest will happen. Focus on today, do not look at tomorrow.
2.) Make time. Do not worry about 30 minutes working out, Make yourself happy and everyone else will be too.
3.) More workouts or harder workouts are not better, Quality workouts are better. Completed workouts are best. To be consistent, have a plan that is achievable and workouts that will allow you to be consistently able to do you your plan.
4.) Use the correct tools, your Garmin watch is an amazing tool, paired with fbbbrown apps it is the ultimate workout aide.
5.) Do not think about the workout, Execute. Go do it! Lace up your shoes and get it done 🙂
6.) Be Consistent is the key to success.

Android Garmin Connect Users:
After saving the Settings of an IQ application, the setting button disappears!

This is a new bug with the Android Connect App. I suggest to leaving a post so this gets addressed quickly. The Connect developers are usually quite responsive.

How to correct a ‘!’ Issue.

Typically my apps are bug free and normally the issue is a Connect App install issue.

What is causing the error there is a corrupt settings file causing the Crash.

Another thing I have encountered, if you remove your watch from a PC without ejecting or unmounting the USB device (watch) first can cause this error.

Procedure

First, uninstall the app is crashing, restart the watch and reinstall the app.This typically corrects the incomplete installation error.

If you have tried my first option, try the second and third.

Second, Try the first step using Garmin Express for installing apps, this is the most reliable installation method. Usually Garmin Express successfully overwrites the settings file.

Third, Connect watch to the pc. Navigate to the x:/garmin/apps. Note: the file name of the most recent dated # # .PRN file. Writedown the name and then delete the file. This will be the crashing app since it was just installed in the previous step.
Then goto the ‘x:/garmin/apps/setting/data’ and ‘x:/garmin/apps/setting’ and delete and files that has the same name. The # # .SET file is the file causing the error.

Finally, if the error stills occurs there could be a bug and I may ask for a log file and to run special debug code to help find the hidden bug.

The log file can found at x:\garmin\apps\log. “x” will be the assigned Microsoft Windows drive letter.

Today’s elliptical activity was 99.995% accurate. The Elliptical App verses the elliptical machine (total step count 2139 vs. 2126).
No other app can achieve this!
