Bobby's chops the barbeque right before your eyes - a personalized experience.

There are plenty of options, from pulled pork to brisket to sausage. It really is a paradise for BBQ lovers. 🐖

How to Judge the Best Upstate BBQ

STEP 1: Try the BBQ without sauce or slaw.

It's essential to get a taste of the BBQ exactly as it is prepared. I don't like too much fat, so this is a good time to see.

STEP 2: Try the BBQ with sauce

Typically I ask the server what's the best sauce on the menu. Make sure it is not too vinegary, tangy, sweet, or spicy.

STEP 3: Decide if the meat is better with or without sauce

A good BBQ can be eaten without sauce. Of course, I love when sauces taste delicious, but there is just something about eating BBQ exactly as it is that I prefer.

STEP 4: Eat the sandwich as prepared

Now it's time to enjoy your meal! See how the slaw tastes in combo with the BBQ. Ask for another sauce. Just enjoy it and write down the best and worst qualities to see how it stacks up against your competition.

Although the meat wasn't seasoned exactly the way I like it, the sauce saved the day!

Smokin' Blues is the perfect place to unwind and hang out with friends whether at the bar or outdoor seating.

If you're looking for REAL BBQ meat, sauces galore, and a nice hang-out spot - SBH is the place for you!

I'm more of a fan of pulled pork, but their BBQ sandwich is certainly a hit!🐷

They have won a ton of awards - and it shows. 🏆

I only got the house sauce - a pretty good choice. But I bet their other sauces are delicious.

It's probably the most unique BBQ that you can find in the Upstate.

“Check out a lil BBQ shack in Newberry County called Wise's BBQ.

Best thing about bbq is how different it is region to region or even county to county. I'm from SE N.C (brunswick county) and we love our butts with pepper vinegar sauce. I am def partial to it. The upstate mustard sauce never appealed to me. However Wises was a completely unique and very regional example of what you might find just an hour south of here. Their mustard sauce was VINEGARY. I kinda liked it! They served it on a pile of hash with an enormous side of pickles and good slaw. 2 pieces of wonder bread just so you know you are in the sticks”

BBQ BUFFET ALERT!!! 🚨🚨🚨

If you're like me, you love BBQ. What's better than BBQ? Unlimited BBQ!! 🐷🐷🐷

Whether in Easley, Mauldin, or Greer, you can find a Mutt's BBQ near you! And let me say, it's delicious.

Although the BBQ itself is a little dry and bland at first, have no fear - the sauces are what makes this place so good!

Mild, Hot, Mustard, and Sweet and Smokey are all delicious sauces to add to your barbeque when you're at Mutt's.

Might I suggest combining the hot and mustard?? (You'll thank me later)

Is it the BEST BBQ ever? No, unfortunately, it's not.

However, where else can you get all-you-can-eat barbeque with delicious homemade sides?

Mutt's has the sort of comfort food we all could use from time to time.

Bucky's Bar-B-Que ‼️🐖

Let's take a trip to Bucky's Bar-B-Que with locations all across Greenville, SC. I've been wanting to try this place for a while - it's a GVL staple!

Right when I walked in, I realized this was going to be an experience from the chopping station right at the counter to the igloo cooler where you can get ice for your beverage of choice (gotta get sweet tea, right!?!?). It was sure to be a classic BBQ experience.

I had such high hopes for Bucky's... but I gotta be honest... it wasn't the best upstate bbq. 😔

While the sauces were delicious (try the vinegar and mustard!) and the burnt ends were great, the pork was a little fatty.

Actually, it was really fatty. 🥴

It had so much potential in flavor - but the meat just wasn't good. If this was Best Upstate BBQ SAUCE, then maybe Bucky's would be competitive. Unfortunately for Bucky's, it's not.
