The mission of the Urban League Upstate Young Professionals is to promote the development of young professionals in the Upstate and to serve locally through social and community action.

Urban League of the Upstate week is completed and we’re so thankful for our dedicated volunteers that work tremendously hard for the organization! The Urban League volunteered at the Greenville Drive field (Fluor Field) all week and had productive success engaging with the crowds.
We would like to thank everyone that attended our “Ci**rs & Connections” forum held at Modern Cigar Greenville! This forum focused on men’s mental health and well, we had a very positive discussion. We look forward to connection with more of you in the 864 community and beyond.
Your ULUYP is having another fundraising social at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant on April 23rd 2024! We would love to see everyone in attendance for the event. We love the community and this is another way for all of us to give back! Come fellowship with us from 6pm-8:30pm.

This past Thursday we had the opportunity to collaborate with for the RALLY YP event in Spartanburg, SC! This event was a tremendous success for all 3 organizations and we look forward to working together again in the future! Young Professionals we are the future and the future is now!

Our March spotlight goes to our very own Vice President Jessica Dawkins!!
Jessica is a native of Gaffney, SC. She is a 2012 Alpha Chi Honor Society graduate of Lander University. She obtained a Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting graduating in the top 10 percent of her business class. In 2015 she obtained her Master’s in Accounting from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA.
Jessica is currently employed as a Budget & Reporting Analyst at Ogletree Deakins Law Firm. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins Dawkins was a Senior Business Analyst at Truist Financial. Outside of working Jessica is an entrepreneur and loves empowering others. Her hobbies include shopping, traveling, spending time with loved ones.
She is also a mentor for various youth throughout the Upstate area.
Jessica is also the Vice President of the Urban League Of The Upstate Young Professionals (ULUYP). ULUYP is comprised of young professionals across the Upstate who are dedicated to serving their local communities through social and community activism.
Jessica is an illustrious member Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She loves to impact the community by investing time, building meaningful relationships, and helping others realize their potential.
We want to recognize Black History Month and shine a light on our Young Professional President Revis Butler !!!
Revis (Rev) Butler is a native of Greenville, SC and displays his deep reverence for the city by dedicating his service to advancing spaces of equity. Revis is extremely passionate about bringing promise and service to his community by uplifting others to accomplish their dreams and aspirations of growth.
As a strong charismatic leader, Revis pursues ambitious professional and community leadership to support the individual and collective progression of those around him to the highest levels of achievement. His proven diligence amplifies spaces of humility, awareness, forward thinking and stewardship in the community.
Currently he serves as Web Content Editor and National Music Columnist for Sheen Magazine. Revis is also the President of the Urban League Of The Upstate Young Professionals where he dedicates his time to giving back to his community to ensure that everyone is given an equal opportunity to be as successful as possible in life no matter what background or ethnicity group they come from.
Butler is a 2013 graduate of the illustrious Lander University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt graduate of Greenville Technical College. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. As the day comes to an end we want to thank everyone that came out to our final event yesterday! We want to give special thanks to and dinamckinnie for giving an amazing presentation! Our December spotlight goes to Jordan Peterman!
Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, FL, He attended Savannah State University, where he graduated Cum Laude in 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science (Pre-Law concentration).
He currently works as a Global Trade Consultant for GE through Allyn International Services, Inc. and also manages his own e-commerce store on eBay. He is a recent brain cancer survivor and enjoys exercising, playing piano, reading, and word searches.
