Equipping Christian leaders through an educational and ministry experience that is biblically shaped, theologically rich, historically significant, and evangelistically robust.
In light of his recent book "Wayward Children: Finding Peace, Keeping Hope," Stuart Scott, BJU Seminary professor of biblical counseling, spoke about the topic on the Truth in Love podcast, a resource from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Listen to the episode “Encouraging Parents with Wayward Children” here.
Earlier this week, BJU Seminary faculty, along with members of BJU’s School of Theology and Global Leadership faculty and BJU Press, attended the Bible Faculty Summit at Maranatha Baptist University.
At the summit, Bible teachers and seminary professors from a group of colleges and seminaries met to hear and discuss academic papers and enjoy fellowship, as they have annually since 1995.
This year, three from BJU Seminary and BJU Press advanced biblical scholarship through paper presentations. We are thankful they and more of our faculty could attend to deepen their knowledge and sharpen their skills so they can better prepare our students to handle God’s Word with precision!

We are so thankful for our students! Today we provided a BBQ lunch, complete with pork that was home-smoked by the Seminary’s events coordinator and her husband, to show appreciation for our students and celebrate their hard work at the midpoint of the semester.
This week we were privileged to host the annual meeting of the Associated Gospel Churches.
Five of our professors participated, speaking on the five solas, and today AGC’s president Captain Steven D. Brown, who also serves as adjunct professor at BJU Seminary, spoke in Seminary chapel to our students and conference guests.
The AGC exists to represent historic and classic fundamental churches, for the purpose of recruiting, endorsing and supporting ordained men to serve as chaplains — pastors in uniform — in restricted access institutions.

With depression rising in our world and consequently our churches, chances are you know someone personally who is dealing with medical illness, su***de, loss, divorce, anxiety or any manner of lacking hope. Could it be someone in your Sunday school class? Someone in your pew? A close friend? You?
At this year's CoRE Conference, speakers will carefully lay the biblical groundwork for understanding the problem of depression and despair and then equip you to help fellow believers return to the hope and joy God promised in this broken world.
Our early bird discount is available until Dec. 15. Learn more on our website!
Earlier this month, a representative from Bibles International, the Bible society of Baptist Mid-Missions, hosted a translation workshop on campus for five nights. The workshop gave students a taste of a translation checking session as they checked a portion of the Book of Revelation in a South Asian language for the “Patris” Bible revision.
