(GREENVILLE, SC)-Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit have charged 28-year-old Lynda Leigh Nicole Lawson with Homicide by Child Abuse after investigators found she left her 7-month-old son in a bathtub unattended for an extended period of time, causing him to drown. Following the incident, the infant was transported to the hospital, where he remained on life-support until, sadly, he succumbed to the injury and passed away on July 24, 2024.

Lynda and her boyfriend, Robert Bull Jr., were initially charged with Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child after investigators found the conditions of the home were unsafe and deplorable. This afternoon, members of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office FASIT (Fugitive Apprehension Specialized Investigations Team) arrested Lynda after the Homicide by Child Abuse warrant was obtained. Bull Jr., who was not present during the time of the drowning, was not charged in the child's death.

Following her arrest, Lawson was transported to the Greenville County Detention Center, where she awaits a bond hearing.
