📢Sheriff Hobart Lewis has a special message for anyone illegally hauling or dumping waste tires in our community!
Effective immediately, according to Greenville County Ordinance 5574a, if you HAUL 15 or more waste tires in Greenville County, you MUST have the following:
➡️ Tire Hauler Registration from
DHEC
➡️ Waste Tire Hauler Certificate from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office
➡️ Greenville County Waste Tire
Hauler Permit card
➡️ Waste Tire Permit Decal for Vehicle/Trailer

The replacement fee for a lost or damaged permit is $15.00.

Individuals seeking registration and permits must do so during these times:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am -
5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am-12:00pm
If you are caught hauling 15 or more waste tires without the above listed required items, you can face Misdemeanor charges along with fines and jail time.

The Senior volunteers at Greer Community Ministries prepared a “sweet law enforcement survival kit” with personal descriptions, to remind Law Enforcement and staff how much they are appreciated!! The tour of the facility included the clothing, food and pet pantry, and kitchen, where all the work is performed to aid our community. is thankful for boxes of “Sweet” reminders to deliver!!

GirlUp GVL is an organization established to enrich young women with positive formative experiences that replace obstacles with opportunities.
The young ladies were able to discuss a possible career in law-enforcement and ask questions about being a female in law enforcement.
Community Action Team (CAT) were over at The Hungry Drover where community members met Deputies with Donuts! Great conversations happened while the deputies powered up on the sugary power rings to tackle concerns in Travelers Rest community!
The Team delivered a huge call for service as they prepared the “Quarterly Blessing Breakfast for First Responders”😋!! There are always EXTRA Seats available to attend the abundantly blessed Quarterly morning breakfast hosted by Slater Marietta Fire Department. ⛑️🚔🚒🚑🍽️

Zhamari a middle school student interviewed Sergeant P. Kelly and learned valuable information about bomb technician duties and how important is in this specialized position. Sgt. Kelly also took the opportunity to pour knowledge about decision making that can affect your future as an adult, safety in schools, and drug/opioid prevention.
The Greenville County school nurses received Drug Education Training during there Health Services Professional Development. educated school nurses on the benefits of proactive involvement, naloxone availability, safeguarding students and preventing opioid-related overdoses in schools by sharing new information on the dangers of Ma*****na, Fentanyl, Va**ng, and Edibles. #❤schoolnurses
attended the at Legacy Early College, where hundreds of scholars were encouraged to be proactive in discovering which career field they were most passionate. So many of the scholars sought knowledge about their next steps in Law Enforcement and all it has to offer! Thank you Legacy Early College for the invitation and opportunity to shape the view of our next generation seeking careers in Law Enforcement!

They were educated about the advantages of Bomb Squad robots, Crime Stoppers of Greenville, and the P.O.W.E.R. Initiative Opioid Program. The Explorer Post 2817 was also in full effect issuing Child Safety Fingerprint Identifications Cards.
