On October 3, 2024, Master Deputy Juan Olade along with other Uniform Patrol deputies from Charlie Platoon had the opportunity to celebrate Maria’s 7th birthday.
Maria is a new resident to Greenville County. She was sad on her birthday because she could not celebrate it with her new friends at school due to Hurricane Helene. Maria’s family spoke with Deputy Olade about how much she loves police officers and even dreams of becoming a police officer herself one day. With a desire to put a smile on Maria’s face, the deputies sprung into action. They conducted a parade with lights, gave her presents, and left her with special birthday wishes.
