It is with a very heavy heart that we must report, the Bicycle Post Trail land owners have decided to keep the trail closed for the entirety of 2024. They have said they would be willing to discuss the reopening of the trail in January 2025.

Every possible effort was made in an attempt to keep our community’s oldest and most beloved trail system open. What it comes down to is, the trail is on private land that is not for sale. Ultimately, the owners have the final say.

We know that like us, so many in our community will be absolutely devastated to read and hear about this. Some may never understand the absolute bliss that this trail system provided for the past 30+ years. Although this is not the news we had hoped to report, we will continue to work with the land owners as long as they say there’s a possibility to access the trail in the future.

All weekly rides will leave at 6:00pm starting Monday April 8th.

This was a great project that everyone in the shop was excited about. Every now and then we get a really cool bike with a great backstory. This 1934 Sterling belonged to Sarah’s (Sarah pictured with bike) grandmother who used this bike regularly. It was our honor to do a complete overhaul on the bike so that now Sarah can pedal around on the same bicycle her grandmother rode so many years ago.
