LiUNA Local 136 has continually worked to benefit our members in obtaining better wages and benefits, and fair labor agreements.

LiUNA Local 136 Members come from a cross-section of town departments including the Board of Education, Public Works, Finance, Greenwich Library, and the Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Home. Professional aides and assistants from the Greenwich Board of Education joined LIUNA in 1986, followed later by security aides.

General information

Our Constitution provides that the General Membership Meeting must be held once per month, at the same time and place. The monthly meeting is held the second Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon for general employees and at 4:00 pm for Professional Aides, Assistants, and Security Aides. We usually meet in the Cone Converence Room on the second floor of Greenwich Town Hall.
